Just wondering, is this a file that would be noticed in the file check or can i just delete the file?

Replace it with a blank or alternative, rather than risk a file check. Otherwise if I were you and a sudden file check came up I'd scream at my screen until it cracks =p

i just deleted mine straight out.
if you initiate a file check, it just redownloads them.
