Set couches on fire??? Should've been in Gville for the two BASKETBALL National Championships. People climbing up traffic poles with cops 5 feet away. University Ave. (pretty much the main street) shut down. Never seen anything like it. So imagine football, oh man.
Anyway, I like Baltimore too. If Flacco has confidence early on in the game they have a shot. Also, like you said, "Ed fucking Reed" on defense. Although I think Suggs is going to be the standout this weekend. Pound the ball with McGahee/McClain and I think it's in the bag. Look for Flacco to take chances early, but play conservative late in the game.
As much as I hate to say it... I think the Eagles are going to win. This hurts seeing how I'm a Giants Fan. The Eagles really have it together at the right time of the season on both sides of the ball. Buckhalter and Westbrook are going to be too much. Not to mention Donovan is playing well and doesn't have to worry about the rules for ties. Giants are missing their Eagle killer in Plaxico but Jacobs and Bradshaw are going to bruise a few people up. Eagles by a field goal I think.
Steelers over Chargers because I hate Rivers. I envision a good amount of sacks, a ton of LT on the sidelines and a no show from Gates.
Oh, Cardinals beat Carolina. With the best recieving core in all of football complimenting a veteran QB who can put up a ton of yards against a mediocre Panther team, Carolina loses. Going to be interesting to watch though. Looks to be a high scoring game.
I agree with the chalk picks for this weekend.
Haynesworth will be back and that is a win for the Titans. Score will be (12-10) or something stupid like that.
Panthers will destroy the Cards (38-24).
Steelers will beat up on the Chargers fairly handly(31-20).'
And my beloved G-Men will win a hard fought game with the fiesty Eagles all because of a healthy Brandon Jacobs. Philly looked pretty awful on defense last week and the only thing that saved them was the long screen pass for a TD. Look for the Giants to limit the big plays and make McNabb throw to the outside, because he can't, at all.(27-20)
How do you figure the Eagles played bad defense last week? What they did to Peterson was rather spectacular. Take away one run, and he went 19 rushes for 43 yards.
Awful on defense? I guess one of the best corners at jumping the ball didn't get a pick six, or keeping the top rusher in the NFL under 100 yds accounts for terrible.
Their QB threw for 0 TDs and like 40% completion percentage with a pick 6. Their (Vikings) leading receiver was their backup running back. No true reciever had over 2 catches and their running game was throttled for the most part. Eagles played a great game on defense.
Meant offense, my mistake. The score was what, something like 14-12 when Westbrook broke loose. They are just extremely inconsistent on offense, but Westbrook does kill the giants as he does most teams. I just see the Giants keying on him and taking him out of the game. McNabb will have to play out of his mind to win this one or they will have to get to Manning consistently. Both are possible, just not probable in my view.
eagles are hip and stylish picks and all but they didnt really impress me last week besides stopping the run. i mean 100% of samuel's picks either come from him jumping out routes or off tipped passes, shocker that a retard qb threw an out route against him. westbrook's 70 yard td was random as hell too, i dont think they exactly set the world on fire on offense.
16-14 prior to half time. total of I think 40 rushing yds against the top rush D will do that to you. Key on Westbrook and Buckhalter (who's been amazing recently) will give you fits too.
It's going to be a close game, I see the eagles winning by <4 pts.

I live in Baltimore and am a huge Ravens fan so I'm naturally gonna pick them.
I have to say that it will be a tough game. The Ravens Defense has had a little trouble with a short passing game. The "West coast" style "dink and dunk" passing game is how many teams have gained most of their yards against this defense. I foresee the Titan's trying to take advantage of that.
Conversely, I haven't seem that type of play from the Ravens Offense yet. They usually do intermediate to long passing plays after setting them up with the running game. If the Titans were to shorten the field and take away the run, I'm not sure the Ravens can score with just 3 yard passing plays available.
This game is gonna be a huge test of the Ravens secondary, other than Reed, and could very well be a playground for Todd Heap across the middle If Flacco could learn how to find him.
Man I'm so excited about this game.
The only thing I'm worried about is whether or not Domenik Hixon will show up. He came up big for us in key moments last year during the playoffs, but he has a hard time shaking elite cornerbacks. Without Plax, Philly has a distinct advantage at DB. The Giants will need to score early if they want to win this game comfortably.
