I mean it was sad, he was clapping and hugging him after his 4th one. FUCK THAT. I was Joseph Stalin or fucking Hitler as my Panthers coach, you incomplete a pass I want you hauled off the sidelines by the Gestapo and handed to the firing squad.
That is called accountability. I mean hell Matt Moore could have done better than that. I mean fuck, I though we still have David Carr back there for a minute. I mean he said NOTHING or showed no disgust towards Jake at all. God hopefully this will be the straw that breaks the camels back. People started throwing shit at Marty Hurney on the sidelines lol so he left. He needs to GTFO also.
lolol
Man I so want that guy that said Jake is Clutch to come back lol. Lol fresh off of ESPN.
Jake Delhomme is going to be credited with one of the worst performances in postseason history. It all may be justified because Delhomme threw five interceptions and may even have put his future with the Panthers in jeopardy.
But, before Delhomme takes the blame, let's just throw out a few questions.
Why was the game even in Delhomme's hands in the first place? Long before it got out of control, the Panthers had an opportunity to try to run their vaunted "Double Trouble'' running game. Inexplicably, they didn't. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart combined for nine carries in the first half. That falls on coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson.
And what happened to Steve Smith? When you've got a guy who is arguably the best receiver in the NFL shouldn't he get a few catches? That falls on Fox, Davidson and Delhomme, not Smith.
And speaking of the best receiver in the NFL, why didn't Carolina have some defenders in the vicinity of Larry Fitzgerald, especially when Anquan Boldin is not playing? Fox is supposed to be a defensive genius, especially at playoff time, but he didn't look like it against Kurt Warner and the Cardinals.
All right, now forget all that and put the blame on Delhomme.
He took 16 weeks off when they started loosing, we probably wont see him till next year and I called one and done in the playoffs (^_^)b
It's not fair to say "well, Williams and Stewart only got 9 first half carries". I think Delhomme only threw 9 first half passes. The Panthers ran like 18 first half plays on offense. That is fucking despicable, absurd, disgusting, and ridiculous.
lol That says it all.
I still can't believe how this season turned out. Regular season was just a shocker, and already the post season is full of underdog come backs. No way I could've predicted this season to turn out like it did.
Pretty sure that argument was settled on the field tonight and is no longer in question.
Part of the reason Delhomme played so poorly was because he was trying to force the ball into Smith, who, everyone is failing to mention, couldn't get open. Jake shouldn't have forced the throws...but at the same time, shouldn't the "best receiver in the NFL" be able to get open more than a handful of times? Especially given the fact that he was being covered by a rookie most of the night? Smith is a phenomenal talent (holy shit at the stiff-arm on his TD!), and give some credit where it's due, the Cardinals defense were so much stronger than the Panthers, but I think Fitzgerald has clearly separated himself from the pack in the discussion of "best receiver"...just like he separated from the db's all night!
I'm torn on how I want tomorrow's game to turn out. I'd love to go to the game next weekend...but at the same time I think McNabb's mobility poses more problems for the Arizona defense than having to play the same type of game they have the last 2 weeks against another power-running oriented team.
Here's the issue as I see it...it's almost as if the Cardinals faked being so shitty through the stretch up until Seattle, because this is not the same team. If you watched them play defense tonight, they played really well, only giving up that last touchdown because they went to prevent (the win harhar).
What I see happening is everyone blaming the win on Delhomme and him alone, when all of those pics were a result of great Cardinals defense. Their secondary did an excellent job and they didn't even blitz their linebackers until midway through the third quarter after Warner got hit a few times.
Oh, and the rookie covering Smith? Yeah, that kid is a stud, and the Cardinals finally moved Rolle to a position he can play and he is turning out to be a stud too. I have a good feeling about Philly tomorrow though I think they'd be more of a challenge than NY, but that's what being at home is all about. One thing is for sure, keep underestimating them and talking shit on the news, I don't think anyone in Arizona is giving a shit.
I had AZ, lol. I think they win next week too, like I said. It'll be closer, but they shut down after getting a 20 point lead, they didn't use a lot of plays or show off what they have in store, they just let their defense lock it up for them. Hell, they didn't even bring the heat from the secondary very often...but that's probably because they shut down Carolina's run game and their secondary wasn't fooled.
I think McNabb will be hard to contain but they did a great job staying in their lanes and closing them down behind the line of scrimmage, I think it'll be whether or not McNabb chooses to get hit on a failed pass play or if he tries to force some balls that decides that whole factor.
The Giants present more of the same as what they've seen so far so I feel confident there, especially when AZ didn't really blitz at all. They do a good job of killing QB's usually. They're defense is better, but Fitz is still going to be Fitz and that's still going to open up the run game enough to make play action work.
Oh yeah, then you have Boldin and Breaston to worry about, when Edge isn't miraculously tripping for 5+ yards.
They didn't fake it, but they fell apart in those games largely due to special teams & field position. Their kick coverage is a gigantic weakness on the team. Even tonight, Carolina started a number of drives beyond their own 35 yard line, including the first one @ the 50. Minnesota, NE, & Philly all got ahead because they were given a short field to work with.
DRC is playing phenomenally, but his ridiculous speed helps to cover up a number of his mistakes. There was a sideline pass to Smith towards the end of the game that could have been pick #6 if he'd had an extra half-step...but Smith was open on the play if he didn't break quickly enough and probably would have busted it for 15-20 yards.
Go Cardinals! Reppin the NFC west!
WTF are the Ravens going to do next week? That wasn't a game, it was an all-out brawl. So many people got injured, they sent in rookies that haven't seen play time since week 3...
Talk about disappointed....
I wake up expecting to see "Delhomme released" or "Fox fired" headlines scrolling across the screen..... I see noting of the sort. I told you last week Fox does not prepare well and how we play down to our competition. If you recall right Jake threw FOUR interceptions and a fumble coming off a bye week versus the fucking Raiders in week 5.
LOL @ that gif of Jake. To be honest, he does that EVERY PLAY, ask Kyo or anyone else that gets his games every week lol, he's like some sort of spaz or some shit . Jake and Fox totally justified everything I have been saying for 22 some odd weeks and even week 2 of last season when he blew out his elbow. You saw his "tunnel vision" to Smith and Jake just throwing balls up in the air for no apparent reason and him just being all around fucking stupid Jake. Welcome our fucking world of despair and confusion.
I loathe Jake Delhomme and wish he would sincerely GTFO of Carolina. If you noticed they kept highlighting our shit-tasic defensive coordinator; Mike Trgovac during the game as well. He and Fox are extremely close and he has sucked ever since taking over the position from Jack Del Rio. Speaking of which, Del Rio got the Jags job a few years back because Fox wanted to bring in "his people" which made Del Rio expendable. They are fucking idiots all around. I feel as if I have a hangover right now from sheer rage.
We should all meet somewhere and drive to Ballantyne and egg Jake's house lol. If Fox wont send the message I will. God dammit I was hoping to wake up to someone being fired this morning. Ill probably see Jake get an extension in the off season as well as Fox and crew......
bro just become a skins fan with me
