Yea I told you guys that at the beginning of the year when Delhomme threw that last second pass to Rosario against San Diego. Delhomme is lights-out in the playoffs!
Yeah, lights out when he gets knocked out. He's a big fucking pansy, but I do find it admirable for what he's done coming off of Tommy John's surgery. All he needs to do here is complete some passes to Smith, and hand the ball off. If they don't fuck that up, they should win by at least a TD.
The Giants and Titans had to bust their asses all year for the #1 seed and the Steelers/Panthers are the ones who get to play the fucking 9-8 teams.
Fuck.
Yeah, in retrospect I am glad we lost to you guys lol. Fuck playing the Eagles and fuck playing the Ravens too.

I loathe Jake. I don't wish bad on people but I kind of hoped that his elbow would be too much for him to overcome and that he would ride off into the sunset![]()
The way I see it is if you are the best then you deserve the toughest road. NE had to run that Colts, Chargers, Steelers, Jags and Titans gauntlet yearly. It sucks ass I agree, but hey the best team should in theory be clicking on all cylinders and should plow through everyone.
Well, if you fix the problem I have, it may actually benefit the problem you have, at least to an extent. It would be more difficult for the weaker division winners who benefitted from home games to advance and play the lower (2) seeds.
Here's a little perspective on my "Jake Delhomme is clutch" insanity.
Here is a look at Delhomme's career postseason game-by-game statistics:
Date Opponent Att Comp Yds TD Int Rating
1/3/04 Dallas (W) 29 18 273 1 0 104.5
1/10/04 at St. Louis (W) 26 16 290 1 1 96.6
1/18/04 at Philadelphia (W) 14 9 101 1 0 109.5
2/1/04 New England (L) 33 16 323 3 0 113.6
1/8/06 at NYG(W) 22 15 140 1 0 100.6
1/15/06 at Chicago (W) 33 24 319 3 1 120.6
1/22/06 at Seattle (L) 35 15 196 1 3 34.9
TOTALS 192 113 1,642 11 5 95.0
Pretty good numbers when you consider his regular season stats. Also, for some reason his 4th quarter numbers are much better than his 1-3 quarter numbers in everygame. Delhomme is not a very good QB 75% of the time but 25% of the time he makes the plays you need him to make.
Exactly! lol. If we had a reliable QB Steve Smith would score 30 TD's.
Also a different perspective on that conversation. Is it Jake making the plays he needs to down the stretch, or is it Willams and Smith (and sometimes even Moose) bailing him out of bad situations with clutch plays...
I would probably go with the later.
Im not sure this is right but, dont the divisional playoffs try to match up whatever divisions you played in the regular season? Example: NFC south played the NFC west this year, so since arizona advanced they would have to play the NFC south title winner? Same way with the NFC north playing the NFC east. But since philly beat minnesota NY doesnt have to play the NFC north champ. I guess the NFL already has the schedule set this way and just wants to let it play out?
I think that the NFL should just adopt the NBA's system where division winners are only guaranteed playoff entry, and seeding is handled by overall record.
However, the only snag that you could possibly run into is when you inevitably have 3 or 4 teams that are 10-6/11-5 and are in different divisions.
