no........don't be gullible and fall for this bull$hit.... Companies like IGE exist only for the sole purpose of selling gil and items. They do it on such a massive scale that it undermines the economic principles of the game. They do it in such a way as to employ people to play characters in game to steal, scam, and kill NM's .

I am not justifying the OP's friend, simply saying that for this idiot to justify his actions by comparing a single player to a company that has introduced billions of gil into the FFXI economy and had characters stealing and competing for HNM in the game... .is stupid.

Even though this forum name will probably be deleted and even worse my IP will be banned . I feel compelled to post in this thread.

First off, yes it is a dick move to steal from anyone regardless of the circumstances, but if omni hadn't stolen this gil what would have happened to it? The answer is it would have went to some rich oil princes inventory with which he would use to ruthlessly raise the price of dynamis currency. When someone is going to sell their account because they have quit the game the opinnion of people still playing the game means nothing to them and they will sell their stuff. People that come to mind off the top of my head that have done that have been ryko, people I know personally that had a high reputation that did it were duwie, narbie, jwb, noremorse, blaize, kilee. So when calling omni a douchebag or a thief you have to keep in mind that regardless of if he stole it, or if someone else bought it, the RMT factor would still be there. With that being said I know most people if they could would scam IGE or thsale for every penny they had, just because they hate RMT. Is that right? No. but for some reason there is added sympathy because this person played FFXI but obviously didn't care enough for the well being of the game to just give his items away or let them rot. So whether or not he stole it, the gil still would have been sold which is something "BG looks down on." So I don't see why he should take more heat then someone that checks IGE every few months and buys a few gil to better their gear.

For one, that person that checks IGE every few months doesn't go to the public bragging like we all owe him a reach around for some mastermind, diabolical scheme. Omni isn't your average rmt. He's been on multiple servers and purchased gil on numerous occasions. If rmt had a platinum member rewards club, Omni would be a shoe in.

He is "taking more heat" because of his actions and responses to this thread. He's a tool/douche/pillow biter and there is no point in defending him. On the internet, you can be who you want to be. The catch is that you can also be what people perceive you to be. It just so happens that the sack full of shit has fallen upon Omni's shoulders and he has done a very good job of upholding all the negative titles that has been thrown his way.
