They should use sex to teach other subjects. Kids would be smarter.
hahaha I remember hearing about that, I think I saw a tv special about "purity dances" where kids talk about not having sex before marriage. Fun addendum to that article though is that additionally most of the kids who take an abstinence pledge lie to people outside of their family about ever having taken a pledge.
am i missing something or is it not 2009
clearly they are doing it wrong... teach kids to have all the sex they want, just to use condoms & be safe. I wouldn't be surprised if most kids are scared to be caught w/ condoms because of what their parents might say if they get caught w/em. Teachers/parents going around telling ppl not to have sex ain't gonna help anybody outside of the extremely sheltered children. Best approach imo is to embrace that kids have sex and push the use of condoms by not making it feel like a bad thing.
Article was posted today... but yeah... I was wondering same thing as you lol
This about sums it up

I just turned 21 and out of my class of about 130 that i graduated with, probably 10 girls had kids, some are on their second one already. fuck that, i'm waiting til i have a good job and i'm comfortable with how things are going for me
One of friends had a kid in the summer between 6th and 7th grade. Her parents didn't like any of us boys hanging around her after that lol. Guess it would be 15 or 16 now, wonder what kind of talks she gave it.
Eh, some of my buddies from highschool already have children and shit, that and never made it to college :D
In the school district that I work in (mind you, it's one of the poorest in all of California), students with kids is nothing unusual. At just one of our High Schools in the city, there are about 100 births per school year.
At that rate, you might as well just build a fucking preschool onto it.
FUCKING LAWL
Holy shit, that is the hardest I've laughed in recent memory, and I'm a pothead.

Although, building a child care center kinda condones the action doesn't it? Or at least makes it seem a bit more acceptable. But then again if you didn't you'd probably have quite a few dropouts as a result...
Yeah I agree mostly with the latter. Can give them some small financial savings if the daycare is free. It's honestly not a despicable thing to decide to have baby, but IMO the parents should be financially prepared before having one and the ones leaving their kids in the daycare still in high school should be encouraged to still graduate.
Edit: Now, if an AP student got preggers, I'm sure the school would wanna keep them in school as long as possible to bring in more money
