Looks like they're finally setting up Jack vs Tony, which should be awesome assuming Jack gets healed before the season ends.

This is nit-picking but Moss agreeing to go along with the operation without it being an official order and being motivated by revenge seemed really out of character for him.

    Also...

    Spoiler: show
I had a feeling Moss was going to diaf while out in the field, then when Renee said "be careful", I figured it was coming and sure enough, there it was.

    MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

    Spoiler: show

I thought that when Jack lost his memory for a second, I thought he had some realization that Tony was in on this whole thing or that he connected him to something and I was like "OH SHI****" but then it was simply him losing his memory. But then this at the end... my god...I had a feeling it was coming but I expected it much earlier than now...

They had her really playing the daddy's little girl thing... I never remember her calling him Daddy at all/so much in a row.

But judging from next weeks preview Jack's healed already? Also, Hodges still isn't out of it?

edit: and I found it a little hard to suspend my disbelief about all that happened in this past day, if Tony was really the final boss all the shit he got into was meaningless? I also find his motivation to help stop the attacks a little hard to believe if this was ultimately his goal.

At least on the plus side Renee's transformation into Jack with a vagina is complete now.

    Far from it imo.

I knew Moss would die, just not like that. Glad his character is off the show, as someone else posted, his covert action was really out of character. Tony will get caught lying, Jack and Tony will face-off, yadda yadda. Predictable somewhat, but still worth watching.

Also, was it just me, or is Kim Bauer not as hot as previous seasons? Still glad she's back though.

I know what you mean, but I still thought she was beautiful. As someone who's been watching 24 since 2001, it's honestly weird to see her back on the show. Whenever you saw her back when she was a recurring character, it was cause for getting nervous or whatever, since she ALWAYS got herself into huge trouble and Jack would have to fish her out lol.

But yeah, we haven't seen her since the gas incident at CTU when she had that weirdo 40-some year old psych boyfriend. She missed pretty much all the Audrey/China stuff, too.

I have a feeling that Tony must not be working for Starkwood ultimately. Too fucking Dark Knight-esque (as in, everything has to go as planned beyond possibility) for Tony to have planned to double cross Starkwood ten times in an effort to actually help them.

Yeah I'm guesing he's working for someone else? Or maybe he's doing it on his own after all. And his original intent was to get at those BOW canisters for something else.

The way Jonas said he's only a "small cog in a greater wheel" has kept up with the recurring theme this entire season of everything being controlled by "something bigger". I'm not sure how much bigger they than realistically (and I use that word loosely) go than a private military company trying to force their way into controlling military policies at the presidential level by working with Somalian terrorists. I imagine it's going to have to be something insane though.

I think we all knew from the beginning (or a lot of us hoped, myself included) that Tony would, in the end, be opposing Jack as part of the final "something bigger". I don't believe Tony could be working for Starkwood at this point as someone mentioned earlier, that would have to mean Starkwood was counting on someone destroying their rockets which is just too far out there. Whatever this last entity that has to be taken down is, was probably using Starkwood to bring the Bio-weapon in and Tony was obviously waiting for his opportunity to steal it. My initial guess right now is that it's going to end up going back to what Tony said early on about still hating the government for what happened to him and Michelle. I just can't fathom who or what he would have joined up with at this point that can maneuver something as large as Starkwood.

Lastly, the previews showed some woman coming to Jonas while he was locked up, did anyone recognize her?

Eww yeah I remember that. First she was involved with Chase who was Jacks partner in S3 (Which brought in Chloe since she was babysitting Chase's daughter) and then she ends up dating her Psychologist in S5

A lot of things seem out of place with Tony. I am of the feeling that he knew everything that was going on and used the FBI. When Jack took out that agent and found out that the weapons were coming into the port, he called Tony, and Tony seemed very hesitant, almost as if he didn't want Jack to go, but he went along with it. I think that it was Tony's intentions to smuggle some of the BIO weapon out via his mole in Starkwood, but if Jack intervened, his mole would not be able to take the BIO weapon. Just seems that he used the FBI to take out Starkwood so he can obtain the BIO weapon. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony was working with someone inside the Presidents Administration. It would have to be someone that we have already been introduced to if it is going to be the main boss...that is, if Tony isn't the main boss.

Really enjoying this season so far. I was actually a bit sad to see Agent Moss go down, I really didn't expect Tony to start XXX-crossing everyone some more. Didn't even get a silent clock send off.

Now that you mention it Tummie, I remember Tony being pretty hesitant to intercept the weapons at the docks too, but at the time I just attributed it to him not wanting to go to jail. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing who Tony is actually working for and what his ultimate plan is, because right now he is off the deep end.

I wish they'd go ahead and cure Jack already, because while it is kinda nice to see him vulnerable and to have other characters take center stage in the action, its pretty damn obvious that Jack FKING Bauer isn't going to die.

Say it ain't so Tony... say it ain't so..

I like the twist, it was always at the back of my mind the entire season. The way I see it they couldn't sell season 7 with "Tony is returning as a bad guy" and expect him to remain the main antagonist throughout it since every season is structured around inching further and further between baddies until the big boss is found. According to imdb Kim is going to be in every episode for the rest of the season, and Tony knowing that Kim is around, I think he will try and kidnap her for some leverage a.k.a. Season 1 Nina / Wife, Tony / Kim type thing since they've been foreshadowing season 1 since the beginning.

As for the big boss behind everything...

    Spoiler: show

Kim's plots have always been the weak point of 24, at least the presidential plots are more important to the whole show, but Kim just exists as a crutch to Jack and gets kidnapped or put in arbitrary danger.

If Kim gets kidnapped or captured again, this season will have set records for any show rehashing old plot angles: presidential threat, bio-tech gas weapons, mole inside government agency, Jack coming back from complete inactive status to be the hero of the day, multi-tiered bad guys, head of government agency everyone hated because he wouldn't listen to Jack and is now dead after finally listening to him, I could go on...

    COME ON WRITERS!

I seriously laughed at this, how true. Evidently only Jack Bauer can live through a Jack Attack.

I kinda like that just about -every- character besides Jack is subject to randomly dying, their being expendable makes things a bit more unpredictable, even though the plots devices from each season overlap.
