Did he leave the show to go to The Unit or did the show write him off regardless and he ended up on The Unit?
Also, I'm watching the first season (I didn't start until halfway through the second) and I just wanted to say that I hate Terri Bauer. She is so dumb she deserves to die (although I haven't gotten there yet). This whole "I watched my daughter go boom in a car that I left parked on a ridge and now I have amnesia" bit is so lame and I wish I could pull the trigger on her now.
I'd have to look up the time line but I think he was killed off regardless as part of the whole presidential assasination thingy.
I miss President Palmer ;_;
You're in good hands with President Palmer.
Oh lawd I just finished up Season 1 and David Palmer kicks so much ass. His snake whore of a wife tries to get him to bang his speech writer and he saw that coming. Does anybody have any reasonable ideas on how to write him back into the show? Half the people on the show have been 'killed' before and come back. I'd still watch the show if he haunted/helped Jack... like a ghost sidekick.
God no, and please never write for a show. Tony is the only guy with a death so shitty and unconvincing that they needed to bring him back (if only to kill him off properly later on). David Palmer is a badass, but bringing him back would do way more harm than good.
I could care less if he was resurrected with the tears of crying Poke'mon. If they bring back David Palmer, in whatever ridiculous fashion they choose, I'd welcome it with open arms. Also, for those who want to know what happened to him...
Spoiler: show
After watching all the seasons I've realized I'm not a fan when Jack has anything holding him back (ie women). Whether its Kim or Terri or whomever, they always reduce the amount of potential asskickery. Watching Kim/Terri get caught and then escape and then caught and escape and then caught and escape and then caught and shot got old. Anybody that dumb should die and I'm glad they didn't continue that theme so much in later seasons.
I always knew Nina was going to kill Terri but it was awesome watching the entire 24 hours just waiting to see when Nina would show herself as the mole. Going into the last episode I began to question whether it was season 1 or 2. And then the ending had me ready to start up season 2 again.
AGENT WALKER IS SO FINE OHMYGODIWANTTODOHERSOBADLY
Nina was the ultimate evil bitch.
Good episode tonight best season since 1 and 2.
Yes, Nina still stands as one of the best 24 characters ever.
Episode last night was top notch, a welcome change from S6.
Spoiler: show
I'd like to rephrase my prior prediction and say she is going to nuke the entire continent of africa now
Wicked episode tonight, the mom/baby scene was intense. I didn't like Renee at first but I see her becoming more and more like Jack... and that's only one thing: awesome. Maybe she can finally be the person he's looking for...
And Moss is the new Ryan Chapelle, but not as by-the-book.
Last night's episode was one of the best 24's I've seen in recent times.
Jack was badass and had some great lines...
President Taylor says something about Jack's credibility and where his loyalties lie...and then he comes out with this bombshell...
"With all due respect madam President. Ask around."
Classic.
Torturing the Baby will always work
