^ Yeah Tony was never really painted as a spy just somebody who despised Jack since there was still romance between him and Nina and Tony wanted Nina to be his GF.

The first daughter was pissing me off (The character, the Actor did a good job). Came off as full of herself.

I lol'd when Aaron told her that her dad was shot, the look on her face as she realized the situation was priceless.

I'm just glad they brought Aaron back, even if it's probably only for an ep or two. Now all we're missing is Mike I think...

Mike uh...Novich? Novack? I forget how his last name went. The only other person from the Palmer administration that in the end, was one of the few good guys (even though he undermined Palmer in season...2?). Was also on Logan's staff looking dumbfounded at just about every one of Logan's decisions.

Randomly, if the next group of episodes is going to be more focused on the conspiracy, I wonder what the chances are we'll see Jack's father back. His company was a big part of the underground group that controlled Logan through season 5. They seemed to drop that whole idea after the first few episodes of season 6 when Jack's brother was killed and focused more on his father stealing some chip. They certainly left the door open to go back there this season if they want to I think..

Oh, right Mike Novick, I don't know how he would make it into the storyline... and I think they are going w/ Jon Voight being the villain pulling the conspiracy strings, Jack's father prob wont make an appearance cause they dont want us thinking of day 6 that much..

    Novick, that's it!

Have we seen Voight this season yet? I just checked imdb and he's not listed in any episodes from this season until the last episode in May... He's also listed in Redemption, but for some reason can't recall what he did...

In redemption Jon Voight was shown in the office of the kid that got strangled. He walked out and that kid's boss then called him in to delete some files (which he didn't do and died).

Haha, using Aaron again is blatant fanservice, and I love it! Can't wait until we get to the Kim episodes...

Loved the Tony/Jack part at the end for some reason. The rest of the ep was cool too. 2 hours next week!

The melodrama is getting pretty thick...it's tiresome. 'you killed mah sista! it's all yo fault cracka!'

I miss when 24 was about thrilling action and intrigue...this soap opera shit is dull.

Good episode as a whole, but my GOD the acting was TERRIBLE in the FBI scenes. Primarily with Sean. For example, in the mainframe room he was choking up on his lines in the wrong places, and the gun shot... lol. From getting shot and merely wincing to running downstairs with full arm swings and putting on his jacket like he only has a hangnail... give me a break. Get the hell off the show.

That being said, Renee has secured a spot in my awesome character book. Despite her being a massive pussy, I actually really like her. The breakdown in the hallway with Jack spot volumes about both characters.

Also, does anyone notice the massive namedropping happening in reference to Teri? Seriously, they've made more references to Jack's wife in this season than seasons 2-5 combined. I don't really care either way, but I find it kind of funny.

Lastly, in typical 24 fashion, as soon as the first bad guy is defeated, the next problem starts almost right away. The show has changed in some ways, but they are definitely sticking to their roots when it comes to plot changes, heh.

Don't get me wrong, this is mostly nitpicking, I'm LOVING this season. Can't wait for next week. So glad 24 is back.

Well yeah, the show is called 24, not 8 (or however many episodes in we are).

As a computer geek, I really cringe/laugh whenever chloe and the FBI people try to use technical jargon.

I'm fucking loving this season, and honestly I like the way they are doing the scaled bad guys this season where we know from the get go that Tony/Dubaku are the small fish whereas in 5-6 it felt like they sort of pulled shit out of their ass to keep it going the full 24 hours. I really hope they go full circle with Renee's character and have her either turn into Jack by the end of the day or go the complete opposite way. Also, I think they are setting up the seeds for this seasons transition into the next and what the co-creator says will probably be the final season. I could totally see Jack not getting the pardon, and being put into jail, then coming out for a balls to the wall mission as the final day where hes promised his freedom after he completes it, only to die at the end or something.

edit: and definitely watching this over Heroes next week, this week's episode focusing on HRG was way too interesting to wait for imo but this looks so much better next week.

Something that didn't make sense about that scene in the Mainfrain room. Wasn't Sean's explanation of the situation pretty crappy? "She pulled a gun and shot me and we fought over the gun and it went off" or something to that effect. Wasn't it HIS gun that he shot her with and wouldn't they figure out that her prints weren't on the gun?

Other than that it was a fantastic episode.
