I'm kind of surprised to see that there aren't many public torrent sites that are dedicated to music only. Most of the time using mininova or isohunt...whatever, they give you full albums when all you really want is a single song.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this. But there is a website called Listentoyoutube.com
It lets you put a youtube video into an MP3 and you can make any song you want into an mp3. Helps a lot for finding bands that people don't know alot about.

Torrenting some of the more popular movies (aXXo's most popular off of Demonoid) I think the max I hit is 160kB/s and it peaks there. 700kB/s would be ridiculous.

Wait... I got it confused, rofl. That's Kilobits/s, not Kilobytes, isn't it? D: I always mess that up. Yeah, I'm on an 8Mbit line with Bellsouth DSL. It's like.. a step below Cable.

Where are you downloading from that's giving you Cease and Desist letters? To be honest, I doubt Demonoid would be much different. It may as well be a public tracker considering how easy it is to get invites. Try using PeerGuardian 2 if you're not already.
