As mentioned probably 50 times before, Demonoid, Mininova, Torrentz, The Pirate Bay, etc.

I still can't find a decent torrent to use on what.cd to fix my ratio a bit... i'm still under 5 gigs so I'm fine for now, but most torrents I download just sit there and never upload anything. =/
And my limewire just stopped working one day for no reason... I didn't install any new firewall or anything, it just stopped connecting. Tried reinstalling like 3 times and still nothing, so fuck it.
i go to more concerts then probably any of you.
only reason i buy it off itunes is because you can't find a lot of good electronica albums anywhere and beatport is expensive as hell.
i buy shirts if it's a small band.
i don't see why people own shirts that have like, dead kennedys or radiohead on them or something. every one likes them. who cares if you do.
I don't buy shirts for musical acts at all, period. A lot of my shirts come from places like these:
Threadless graphic t-shirt designs; cool & funny t-shirts weekly! Tees designed by the community.
Design By Humans T-shirts - New T-shirt designs everyday - Cool Tees Designer Shirts - T shirt Art Contest
Woot Shirt : One Shirt, No Shoes, No Service (SM)
Maybe once in a very rare while I'll make an exception, but usually no.
I don't usually buy shirts either, most of them are way too gaudy
Just pointing out the fallacy in "I buy the CDs to support the artists :3"
(Though indie artists are indeed an exception to that rule, I bought all of JoCo's good stuff and other folks even when they say it's free for the taking/donations appreciated but not required)
I haven't downloaded anything from what yet. Is there anyway to filter by free leech? I'd like to grab some free stuff and seed the hell out of it.
I guess What is just hard as hell to seed for? I was going to upload a torrent of those Prodigy tracks I posted here a while ago but the rules say "No Radio stuff" so I'm kinda fucked, gonna have to RIP some CDs or make a compilation of some rare drum & bass dubs.
theres something with itunes about if a band changes record labels; and you buy an old album the band gets zero profit from it
idk the details and i highly doubt its the case with every band
i DL music and buy it later
started collecting records recently and its pretty addicting
Do yourself a favor, download the music in FLAC Lossless and convert them later to V0 using DBmusic poweramp (available also on the What.CD website).
Use Foobar200 with ASIO for playing the FLAC files (trust me, sounds much better than Winamp)
Tips for new what people. DL up to 5 gigs, but stay under. You'll get an eye for torrents that are "better" than others, but there are no magic tickets unless you manage to be the first leecher on say, a new Adobe CS release. Then, leave your shit to seed for weeks and don't touch it. The investment is hard, but it's worth it. Also, seriously look into a seedbox/whatbox.
I have a spare laptop that I plan on using a seedbox just for this damn website. It'll be worth it though, I hope.
Totally supersaturated with seeders, but it's freeleech, and the most torrented file on what:

Anyone able to give a what.cd invite? Don't feel like downloading an IRC client just to get an invite.
Use an in browser based IRC client?
if anyone has mojo still and doesnt mind getting on for a bit i have faster internet now and would love some new music
