We can only pray she continues this shit, hopefully making herself enough of a joke that she won't have any chance at actually becoming president.

The most important message is she is a shining beacon of how not to behave as a Republican candidate for a major office. She reached for the lowest lows and her behavior is so repugnant that one can pray for the silver lining of subsequent candidates not sinking so low for fear of a comparisons in a future election.

quality conservatives running for office plskthx.

I could reply to this, and it could be pretty funny, but instead I'm gonna be totally sirius and helpful and stuff.

Did anyone ever compile a list of the dumb shit she said? Out of my own curiosity I'd like to compare to all the dumb shit Obama said.

Swampy, have you added the part about Obama wanting to fix the economy with tax cuts?

I haven't looked at it seriously yet, but all the conservative stuff I read says it's just his tax welfare plans. Could be wrong though.

I honestly hope she gets the nomination in 2012, and I say that with all sincerity. I think her brand of politics is everything that's wrong with the modern conservative movement and if it gets put out there front and center with the supreme spotlight of a Presidential campaign may be enough to make a lot of Republicans think to themselves, "What the hell are we supporting? What do we really stand for?" This may be enough to push the party towards the right direction (pun intended); towards the small government, libertarian stance, that they're supposed to stand for. Or maybe I'm just dreaming.

There's a short video, and I say short in reference to how long it could have been, about her retardation. I'll try to find it.

Agreed. The American public is best served by having as many viable choices as possible (which is sadly 2 because of the cost of entry) in presidential elections.

ABC News: Obama: Gitmo Likely Won't Close in First 100 Days

Comparing his approach to the Middle East to that of previous administrations, Obama suggested that he will not be making a clean break from the Bush policy. "I think that if you look not just at the Bush administration, but also what happened under the Clinton administration, you are seeing the general outlines of an approach."

This just in, water doesn't turn into wine, one basket of bread and one fish won't feed thousands, and the earth's rotation won't suddenly reverse because Obama is president.

When you say it like that Correction, it sounds like US foreign policy is some natural event that is destined to continue to exist, and when i say foreign policy, i mean continued incursions into the Middle East for reasons not having to do very much with "democracy".

Obama was never going to change our foreign policy much. The pressures and the way they influence people in government can't be overcome by one man (unless he's Jesus of course), let alone a Democrat/Republican seeing as how that's the only 'group' that gets in.

I didn't post that quote/article out of shock.

    EDIT:

I think it's obvious that we're in the Middle East for economic reasons and maintaining US dominance.

If it weren't us, it'd be Russia or China or someone else. That's how it is. As much as I dislike our 'system' it's not like these people are either saviors or devils.

It is growing increasingly tiresome to hear people say 'Obama won't change anything he isn't changing This or That or That Other Thing what happened to Change baw baw baw.'

The new president will have a very finite amount of political capital to spend in his first three months in office and right now the thing I want him to spend it on is *TA-DA* The Economic downspiral. Meanwhile I'm sure tomorrow someone will whine that not enough is being done to restrengthen the EPA after Bush disemboweled it, or that the DEA is still raiding pot-dispensing clinics, derp derp derp.

There's only so many battles I care to see fought at the moment. Fuck the prisoners in Gitmo, my paycheck is shrinking, half my friends are losing/have lost their jobs, and any money I save now will only go down in value.
