I thought this would be appropriate here. It's an interactive map of botched paramilitary police raids. I find it extremely disturbing.
Well shit, looks like Wyoming's the place to be.
I've read a few ones (back to the mid '90s), of swat officers using flash granades during a raid.... then having a couch/curtain/other flammable object catch on fire causing damage to said house/apartment that was being raided. Stuff like that is out of their control, but they are listed with officers raiding wrong apartments/killing innocent people etc..etc...
Just don't agree it belongs on the site, thats only thing I don't agree with being classified with the rest.
*edit*
It also doesn't show all the injured officers from these types of raids (possibly due to lack of research...or to try and show there are more fuck ups than officers getting injured?)
Just like in boston, we had a SWAT officer get shot in the face during a SWAT Drug raid but its not listed. There seems to show no officers shot in the new england area during swat raids, which is way off.
Oakland is a disgusting place. I live next to that shit stain of a city and everything about it is awful
just a update, the officer who fired the shot was arrested in Nevada for homicide and fugitive from justice warrants. It's on CNN, can't copy link on iPhone :/
Link for anyone interested...

He is definitely being arraigned on murder charges.
Well that's fucking retarded.
I guess when they can't prove murder instead of manslaughter like they should have, Oakland will burn itself to the ground. So that'll be the silver lining.
It says "homicide" - doesn't say what degree.
edit: actually it says both, I think we need a different article or source to find out exactly what the charge is.
Oh hey I was the last guy to post in this thread. Anyway update:

Guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Usual black hysterics to follow:
Sentencing set for Aug. 6th, so I guess they'll put off the riots until after he's given 5 years probation, time served.Outside the courtroom after the verdict, Grant family members expressed outrage at the verdict.
"My son was murdered. He was murdered. He was murdered. My son was murdered," said Grant's mother, Wanda Johnson.
"The system has let us down but God will never ever let us down," she said.
Johnson and other speakers said African-Americans have too long been the victims of police abuse and a biased judicial system. She said Mehserle wasn't found accountable.
"We couldn't get even six hours of deliberations," said Johnson, who claimed jurors weren't fair.
involuntary manslaughter my ass.
Execution is more like it.
God will never let them down? God didn't stop the murder, so was that him not letting them down?
Shit, what exactly did God do in any of this? He didn't convince the guy not to shoot, he didn't change the trajectory of the bullets, he didn't miraculously allow the man to survive, and he didn't sway any judges or anything to convict this guy of a real charge.
What, exactly, was God's role in all of this? Is he just going to be "there" to support the family? I suppose if they believed in Allah, he'd be there in God's stead, right?
tell us how you really feel
Real talk, son.
