If they were simultaneously released here and in Japan I'd have something to be happy about for once.![]()
wtf those chocobo are huge and strange
Actually, there are rumors about a possible international release next month.
I don't put my hopes on it, but it would certainly be nice and a smart move from SE since they would easily make a ton of money over it (Xmas gifts etc.).
2 more days till we find out.
There seems to be hints (can't find the site link anywhere, so take this with a grain of salt) that the sixth and last summon (Vanille's) is going to be Leviathan.
Never-before seen eh?
Would rather not log into boring home to see it but it better be worth the effort.

PlayStation Home To Show All New FF XIII Trailer Friday - playstation home - Kotaku
Obviously, something Final Fantasy XIII is going down this Friday because even PlayStation Home is getting some love from Square Enix in the form of a "special, never-before-seen" video for the epically developed role-playing game.
Since we're expecting an announcement from Square Enix on the FFXIII front this Friday anyway—and expecting a North American release date—that's not a surprise. What would be a surprise is if Home is the only place to see this video. That's not Square Enix's style.
After all the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII's presence in Home is wedged between details on Fullmetal Alchemist episode screenings and a sneak peek of Steven Seagal's Lawman reality show, also taking up screen real estate in Sony's virtual hang space.
But if you find yourself in one of Home's 10-screen theaters this Friday, don't be surprised if Lightning strikes.
Final Fantasy XIII launches March 9, 2010 on PS3, 360
Final Fantasy XIII will launch in North America and Europe on March 9, 2010, just a few months after it debuts in Japan and nearly four years after it was originally announced. Since that time, Square Enix's flagship role-playing game has become a multiplatform project -- the English version will debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 simultaneously -- as well as the first part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series. It's also no longer the highest-numbered Final Fantasy game.
"We know that our fans have been eagerly awaiting the next installation of the franchise -- FINAL FANTASY XIII will exceed all expectations," said John Yamamoto, president, chief executive officer and official title shouter of Square Enix, Inc. "Coming simultaneously to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for the first time, FINAL FANTASY XIII will be available to all players who are looking for the most immersive gaming experience of 2010."
And you'll have to look -- we hear Q1 2010 is already swamped with immersive gaming experiences. That's not a complaint!
I just saw the trailer a second ago before looking here. I think that's amazing news, even though I don't own PS3 (yet) ^^;
Oh God the ending of the video trolled me hard.
Btw. Personally I can't get into the theme song at all :/
YouTube - Leona Lewis - My Hands (HQ) [Official Album Echo Music]
Yeah, it's pretty fucking bad imo. I think I'd actually prefer some mood-breaking, shitty J-pop. Hopefully it only plays during the credits or something that I can mute.
Theme song is terrible. Needs more Ayaka - Why from Crisis Core.
Anyway, awesome announcement. Three days after my b-day. Hoping for less fail than FFXII.
I love Leona Lewis and kinda like My Hands but right now I don't really see it fitting into FF13.. maybe its cos I'm too used to Kimi Ga Iru Kara..
nonetheless, it seems like FF13 gets 2 theme songs in Japanese, Kimi ga Iru Kara and Eternal Love (something like that), so I'm also hoping that NA get similar treatment.. My Hands and an original (Masashi Hamauzu) composition sung by Leona to go with it..
Release date is awesome, glad that will actually be here that early.
When I saw that the mention was made of Leona Lewis doing the theme song for FFXIII I had hoped it was a joke. That's a terrible song and they should feel bad for putting it in a game like FFXIII.
I'm not a huge fan of J-Pop either, but I'd take it any day over this shit.
What exactly is wrong with the song?
After all the latin chorus and j-pop themes (which were all great, don't misunderstand me. They were just getting a bit repetitive) this is a nice change and fits the game atmosphere pretty nicely.
Have to admit, it is an interesting choice of song to pick. I was fully expecting some random J-pop artist but instead we get a pop singer. Well, she's a good singer at least.
Oh... that's right, I'm sure you're wondering about the release date. Well I'm sorry but they didn't tell me, but I'll be sure to let you know when I find outlol ^_^
Still excited for the game, Leona Lewis song is pretty odd. I hope we have an option and that song doesn't play instead of the stuff we've heard in trailers before. I'd hate to hear that during a cutscene or something.
