As for the western release date, I always suspected it would take them a millennium to get it here, so I'm not really disappointed.

Why can't people just love (or hate) something for what it is? I don't understand why your opinion of FF7 matter when we are talking about new material. Well, I can understand why people are annoyed if they feel like they are "milking money" , but still...


Personally, I think those designs are incredibly lame. I'm tired of the "badass" or "cold" looking characters...i always have hard time relating to those characters.

ITT: should wait for the demo before we write off the game. Does anyone know if I can reserve the bluray somewhere? I'm assuming I could just get it day 1 at a DVD store, but I don't know if I want to risk it. Hmm, could do amazon reserve I suppose...

Anyone else pumped for the demo? IMO, the first iteration of a Final Fantasy on a new console is usually the best for said console. >_>;

And some more info on the battle system:

• Players will select commands in traditional FF fashion (like with the finger pointing to the action they want to select). Which each command selected will deduct from the ATB Cost Gauge
• Name, enemy name and HP will be visible. With the player's HP, it will be shown at the bottom right corner. Like how Psicom was shown when Lightning was attacking in one screenshot
• Chain System. As the name suggests, that as the player attacks the enemy, you will see a chain combo flash on screen. This basically tallies the number of hits the characters landed
• Bonus System (top right corner). As stated by Gamekyo, this' supposedly your Limit Break system.
