We got to 20ish until we killed the Qns, on the next kill it didn't reraise.

I've been doing ix'drk the past few days with some friends. 4 people, all blms. we had 3 killing ix'drk, and 1 kite the qn's to the zone and make them depop, then return to ix'drk to help kill. So far, lowest number of reraises has been 2, and highest 24. Same strategy for each fight. So the # of reraises seems entirely random. But wish that SE would take their own advice and make a time limit on it. Like, once it's reached, the next death is the final one. No more reraises.
My belief is that each Qn lowers the rate at which it can RR.
I've done this NM many of times solo duo party....
Its something like this
2 Qn up = 90% chance to RR
1 Qn up = 60% chance
0 Qn up = 30% chance
I usually kill the Qn by using the zone and grav nuking -- they dont have much HP.
Once both are dead Ix'drk seems to die after 2-4 kills at most.
Thats how i generally believe it to work
These are my personal numbers dont take it to heart.
Cape only seems to drop on lower number reraises from experience (mine dropped no reraises, didnt kill QNs), been below 5 RR's for all the capes I've seen.
Seriously.
It doesn't work this way. Killing Qn reduce the chance to see it reraise. You can be lucky and kill it on first try, but probability are against you.
I used to think it was
2 Qn up: 90%
1 Qn up: 60%
0 qn up: 30%
But it might be something like
100% - 1% per death -25% per Qn death
Either way, killing Qn make it dies fast, and if you have more than 2 people, there is no excuse.
I have the Qn's zoned also while we pull Ix'aern to the corner towers. They don't depop afaik... they'll return to where they were spawned and hang out. The last time I killed it, we zoned the Qn's, and the first kill dropped a vice.
Random mobs are random, I've seen it not RR once without killing the Qn's and drop vice before. It's all luck, not to say that it isn't annoying.
The Qn's do not depop.
They will stay up as long as the Ix'drk is alive. (Note, thats alive alive, not just dieing once and rr'ing after)
You can easily drag the 2 Qn's to a ally who is fighting Ix'Drk and have them re-link to the Ix.
Late, but we watched another group kill ix'drk with BOTH Qn's up, and it didn't RR at all. So agreeing with Waffles here.

Throwing my hat in with the randomness. I low manned this many nights in a row a while back, always deaggroing the qn's and killing Ix at the zone. I personally never saw it RR more than 3 times, usually no RR at all, though it went to somewhere around 7-10 a couple times when i wasn't there. I'd like to see where these RR chance %'s came from cause I haven't seen any sort of substantial evidence to support them anywhere.
Doing some math.
Let's say 1 IX takes ten minutes.
10x62=620.
620 minutes = 10 Hours +
Wut.
So, the probability of reraising 45 times (assuming each reraise is independent) in a row would be 0.9^45, right? Excel is giving me a cumulative probability of ~0.0087, or about 0.87%. Not sure how accurate Excel is when handling such large exponents.
For reraising 62 times in a row, it would be 0.9^62, giving ~0.0015, or about 0.15%. Given how often people do this NM across all servers, it's still within the realm of possibility that some group would eventually run up this high.
Ix' DRK RR's enough times to keep me from having competition for it. (´з`)y-~
Seen lot's of 0-1 RR fights, record was 67 over 2 years ago.
Oddly enough it seems fights with a lot of spike damage cause him to rr less often, while fights where he melee kills people tend to draw him out.
However, before I even get into crazy off the wall calculations let me remind you SE's programmers have extremely shitty patience. Even worse off is their execution of simple algorithms, so it's probably some retarded cap like 100 and every time ix dies there is a 10% chance he will reraise.
10% is enough to make him RR a retarded amount of times, i've seen better examples of getting fucked over by a margin of .0001%
Oh, and grats' Ed on yesterdays Altruistic Cape.
i have gotten up to 60 RR and called a GM(for fun)
talked to GM about how i duoing it for almost 5+ hours etc when AV have 2 hour limit
guess whats the answer.......
you guys prolly know it........
IT IS WORKING AS INTENDED w00t
we did kill after i get some more LS mate to help kill faster and it died eventually
forgot the final RR count but i almost vomit irl
