I need better cliffhangers. It was a great end for the surprise to Jin but we knew exactly what happened like 2 minutes before he came to.
I couldn't wait for this weeks episode last week cause I knew it would have Rosseau but goddamn, its like each episode this season is better than the last, and all of them are onpar w/ the best the show has had.
Next week promises to be bad ass too w/ the title
D:Spoiler: show
The commercial was saukng something about lost playing during "Life on Mars" what is supposed to be playing.
What I'm wondering now is, did Rousseiu ever look at Jin in a weird way back in season 1-4? cause if she has seen him in the past, she should remember him or something no?
Cause Richard should remember locke cause he went to visit him when he was born
No no I meant when he was BORN, in the hospital, not when Richard went to Locke's home to give him that weird test with the compass, knife, book, etc. (which i still wonder why Richard seemed to pissed off when Locke chose the knife), its different, which means that the people we are seeing from the past(that are alive or were throughout season 1-4 should remember the Losties from the present that are time traveling if they see them)
Unless only Richard can which would add even more to his mysteriousness, cause that I can personally remember, Roussieu never looked at Jin in a weird way or said anything throughout season 1-4 about seeing him before or looking like someone he had met before (kinda like faraday said to Ellie).
Forgive the annoying spaces between thoughts, I believe it would be worse if it was a giant clusterfuck.
The young Charles did seem quite protective of the island. Maybe he moved it to avoid more military people, and that was how Ben was able to 'steal' it from him.
I think that it is possible that the 'sickness' Danielle said her crew came down with was the temporal displacement (name given by the hints). Yea, I'm sure some people probably thought that last season when it was introduced, but I was wondering how they would have been infected by it. Maybe the 'bubble' of distorting time is gradually expanding around those who are traveling. For instance, I fully expected the canoe to vanish when they 'jumped' while running away from the shooters in the water.
Something that popped into my head last week's during last week's episode. Yes, it is insane, and no possible way it could be real. But. It BUGS me. The scene where Penny said she and Charlie would follow Desmond back if he went. All it takes is a blip when they're traveling back to the island to wind up in the past. Desmond and Penny integrate into the Others society. Young Charlie grows up and insists on being called Charles because he is now a man. And I am my own grandpa.
I was glad to see I was right about who was trying to take Aaron away, but it seemed kind of obvious because of the last scene from last season.
I wonder if there is any chance the place they buried the 'bomb' in concrete would happen to be what becomes the Hatch in the future.
Very interesting theory on Pierre/Miles. Seems rather plausible as well.
Same for the idea of the station being built around the bomb. Could that be part of the reason why they had to press the button every 108 mins?
Sawyer shouting thank you then taking it back was win. I also liked the part where he saw Kate. After seeing that I hope he ends up with Kate, but she'll probably go to Jack even though he's an asshole.
Speaking of Jack, I'm hating him the more I see him. Up until Claire's mom said she didn't know about Aaron I was thinking he was the one who hired the lawyer since it seemed like something he'd do.
Yay Jin! And Danielle!
I'm sure I'm not the only one that heard it, but it sounded like someone was saying the numbers over the walkie-talkie when Danielle's crew washed up on shore.
And I'm confused even more about the boat now. If Danielle was on the Black Rock and they seem to have had to abandon it at sea, how did it get to the middle of the island? Shore is one thing, but this is just more confusing.
And with the time travel thing, it seems to be that whatever they're touching at the time seems to go with them. Probably restricted to inanimate objects though. I was thinking it would be kinda funny if the boat disappeared when the flash came as well.
From what I've seen, next week's title is:
Spoiler: show
Edit:
Vague question to avoid possible spoilers:
-Can anyone think of someone in the current cast who is really smart and can play the piano? The piano part is throwing me off.
My mistake on the title, was looking at IMDB last week, I guess the title I gave is 2 weeks from now....
And I don't think Rousseau was ever on the Black Rock, it would be weird considering it was only 16 years ago that they would be using something that looks like its from a few centuries ago. Black Rock - Lostpedia I think she or someone else was just storing dynamite there.
I don't think she specifically looked at Jin in a weird way, but there were plenty of moments when she looked at everyone in a strange way to make it plausible. Also, its going to be 1 day of interaction after 16 years of trauma/isolation, its very possible in her madness she has forgotten him.
If the time travel is the sickness that kills Rousseau's crew, is it possible that medicine Desmond was injecting himself with, is legit for preventing the effects of the sickness? And Faraday tells Miles that amount of time on the island has something to do w/ the speed that you get sick, which explains Charlotte, and to an extent Desmond last season, but we've seen that hes been on the island in the past and hes fine? Likewise with Juliet, who has been on the island at least a few years?
To clarify, Danielle was never on the Black Rock. The Black Rock is a vessel that was lost at sea in the 1850s I believe. You can here the auctioneer talking about it the episode from last season (Whitmore is bidding on a painting of the Black Rock). The ship obviously ends up on the island in some way that we still don't know. Danielle will come into contact with the Black Rock while on the island and it will cause her crew to go crazy and kill themselves/each other.
I'm also pretty sure they stated (in other words the characters theorized) in the season premier that whatever they're touch when the flashes happen comes with them. I'm sure (as someone else stated) that this is limited to inanimate objects.
THANK YOU LORD!...I take that back! Classic, really good episode and loved the ending.
Spoiler: show
I still don't understand how Jin is time-traveling with everyone else. It doesn't make sense with the rules they put in place. If, assuming a straight line, Jin and the boat are at point A, the helicopter with Oceanic 6 is at point B, and the island is at point C, then when the island poofs at the helicopter doesn't, why would Jin and the boat? When they all got poofed back into time, Sawyer and Juliet couldn't see the boat off the shore because it hadn't arrived yet since they were in whatever year it was. I guess objects don't travel through time (evidenced by the camp on the beach being there one flash, then gone during another flash), but I still don't understand how Jin is time-traveling with everyone else. Maybe because he was in the water? I don't know. This issue slightly reminds me of the guy on the boat in season 4 who got his throat slit and floats up on the island 2 days before it happened.
Wasn't sun taking Piano Lessons when she was younger?
Also amazing episode, please please please let this season give a bit more focus on Danielle!
It would be lame. The magnetic field that pull planes and do white flashes can't be explained by the bomb.Same for the idea of the station being built around the bomb. Could that be part of the reason why they had to press the button every 108 mins?
I think the bomb will be used in the season finale to add some tension, similarly to the bomb on the ship last season.
[edit]
Watching this episode right now. Season 1 "flashback" are awesome. I didn't expect to see this.
[edit2]
What Sawyer yelled during the white flash when they were on the boat? The sound is awful, and I can't understand anything he said.
[edit3]
Part with Claire's mom was great, I didnt expect this.
[edit4]
Gdi, Ben totally wooshed me with his plan. He is such an awesome bastard.
