Lost: Season 5

I was watching an older episode today, where they watch the first orientation tape and I found it interesting that the model we saw them building was in front of him in this episode. He spoke of how soon after it was built there was an 'incident'. Surely that has to be something seen soon right? Wonder what it is.

I know Season 2 & 3 is when a lot of people stopped watching, however S4 saw an increase in the quality of the show and S5 so far been more or less that same trend. There are also certain episodes you will probably enjoy immensely (namely Desmond ones).

Honestly I think season 2 and 3 were pretty good and set up a lot of what we are finding out about now. The problem was they had a lot of characters that were just bad. Either bad acting or just unlikable characters and most of them eventually were killed off leaving only fan favorites (for the most part).

Many people dropped the show in the middle of season 3, not after the last episode.

If someone still hate the show after the 3rd finale, it might not be for him.

I also looked at the synopsis (synopsi?) for the upcoming episodes (all but the 2 part finale have one listed) and 5.12 & 5.14 look like they'll be very good.

Not really important but interesting to note is that 5.14 will be the 100th episode of Lost.

The book that gets passed to Sayid was written by Carlos Castaneda. I forget exactly which one it is offhand, and I'm at work so I can't look now. His whole series of books is about his training with an Indian shaman that teaches him about spirituality, through the use of peyote and other drugs. The main lesson he learns through his experiences is that the perception of reality is personal and unique, that the only things that are real are what you perceive to be real.

It's a good series of books if you're into that sort of stuff, I know it had a profound effect on my outlook on life during my younger hippy-ish years. I'm not surprised that it shows up in Lost.

Season 5 Finale is titled "The Incident"... so it looks like we'll get to see what it was.

With Lost, I would episode #108 would be more important than episode #100.

Decent filler episode but my least favorite of the season.

This episode was okay in overall. Not the worst Lost, not the best. I really like the backstory they are giving Ben...they are starting to make me feel bad for him.
