nice thx
nice thx
Good episode, Kate did a good job, nice to see her being selfless for once.
That said I still can't stand the b*tch, Juliet ftw. Love any episode with Richard Alpert, the last five mins were awesome, the look on John's face was priceless.
Not sure why Ben had a almost surprised look, he knew that Locke would be brought back, look forward to seeing his explanation for offing Locke. Even though he is an evilish sob I still <3 him.
The bit with Hugo going all back to the future was cool as well.
Richard was never their penultimate boss, his function has always been explained as consigliere of sorts who chooses the leaders but answers to Jacob, so his place in the power hierarchy hasn't seemed to change. He has always been independent to their leadership, since he is kind of unique. Also, Widmore did tell Locke he was their leader before Ben stole it from him, so since they pick their leaders as children and Ben had probably already been pegged for the job by Richard/Jacob it is understandable why Widmore would not want Richard to save the life of the future leader who would take it from him.
Did anybody catch who called Kate when she lost Aaron? My roommates tv sucks so I didn't see.
edit: and lol didn't Hugo effectively fuck up the writers definitions of how time travel works in their universe so far? Or was Miles just a poor stand in for Faraday, who they still have yet to mention....
Jack called her but she hung up.
Hugo at first appeared to mess up the time travel theory but it was solved at the end when they simply said that Ben would forget his past.
Why wouldn't it have just been like when Faraday told shit to Desmond? Where he just wakes up and remembers all of a sudden?
Because Desmond is "Special" and is apparently one of the few that can change time and events. Just like Hawkings, who somehow was with Desmond in the 'past that never was'.
I haven't been really excited for a LOST episode in a long time, but given next week's preview, it's going to be a fantastic episode... I just know it.
Who was scary blonde woman who was taking Aaron away? Didn't seem very truthful to me and just the way she smiled at Kate
I wonder how Sawyer will explain what happend to Ben. Its ironic that Jack didnt want to save Ben because of what he becomes, but Jack not saving him ends up turning Ben into what Jack hates.
It was a good episode and I enjoyed it. Kate speaking to Grandma Claire was somewhat moving.
Anyways, THIS SEASON NEEDS MORE DESMOND PLEASE.
Yeah it was nice, although that accent she spoke with has got to be the most fake Australian accent, or some obscure one that I've never heard before (it was borderline "Shoine ya shoes guvna, spot o' tea dearie?").
And yes yes yes, stupid Jack, more reasons to hate the guy, if he just saved ben he'd never become bad ben, but because whatever happened, happened, he now is big bad ben.
Owned.
Great episode imo. There was a lot of emotional moment, and it was interesting to see how Ben became what he is now.
Hugo pissed me off when he wasnt able to understand time traveling...Miles explanation were pretty clear imo. He did raise a good point near the end, but it can be explained with the island correcting itself all the time.
The last bit about about Elle (eloise?) and Charles was interesting. I wonder where they are going with this.
I really need more Faraday and Locke which were hopefully gonna see pretty soon. Locke were gonna see like next episode which is nice but I feel like were not gonna see Faraday till somewhere around the season finale, most likely The Variable or The Incident.
I figured it was something along those lines, but the 4th time he got it wrong, I was smacking my head on the keyboard. The scene went from funny to "wtf, you're not that stupid usually".
Faraday first episode was "The constant". The Variable is going to involve him one way or the other, so we can be sure he will be back by then. It's only 3 ep away, so it wont be that long. My guess is that he is going to show up out of nowhere at the end of the episode in two weeks to give us a cliffhanger ending.most likely The Variable
i really thought he was gonna say "hi honey, feeling better?"
meh, what he actually said wasn't bad either
I was expecting they explain the time travel scheme, but meh.
It would seem that the story is self-fulfilling. Jack's refusal to save Ben explains how Ben would eventually become the leader of the "others". Jack is attributing to what would inevitably happen yet he doesn't even know it. If Jack actually saved him, then Ben would probably be locked up in a basement somewhere by his abusive father for quite some time.
