my mind is blown by how well constructed the years of narrative has been and i'm so glad i never gave up on the show runners

To be honest, we don't know if they actually are dead or what they truly are, well aside from being the manifestation of the other guy from the start. But are they truly dead? Or are they something else.

Well we just saw locke's body roll out of the crate, so I would say that's pretty good evidence he's dead. Christian's body is still MIA.

Maybe it was a fucked up broadcast, but at the end when it says "LOST" in big white letters, there is a noise in the background. We had it on DVR so we rewatched it, but it sounds like a newscast with a woman saying something something "Tonight's jackpot" something something.

Explain what Locke and Christian are then? Obviously "Locke" has the memories of his life as evident about what he's said, he's physically able to be touched. His physical body is dead yes, but there has to be a reason as to why he's able to come about the way he is.

That episode was so awesome but at the same time i hated it... Locke has been my bestest friend for so many years and now he's really gone... I literally teared when he was face down in the sand =/

It's just seeing locke's dead body at the end of 4 was great and seeing this season was amazing and I can only assume next will be even greater because it's the finale season. I for one loved time travel situation on movies and such and this season really surprised me when they went all crazy with it. Also small tid bit but are we viewing the series from AFTER the incident right? So that means this shit obviously already happened? I don't know I'm confused as fuck right now I'll sort this out with myself in the morning.

I think Ben vs Widmore is nothing compared to Jacob vs Man in Black

Widmore and Ben were just rivals to be leaders of the group sworn to protect the island/Jacob

Yes, but he's taking the memories of these dead people to, and Locke was walking around with Ben at the same time Christian was talking with Sun and the Pilot. And if it truly is him entirely, than wouldn't he already have known that Jacob sat in the statue's foot? So why have not just bring Ben there alone and have to have Richard bring him there.

It's funny when you think about it. It's the 3rd seasons in a row that end with John being "dead". The funeral in 3rd season, than John locke in the coffin at the end of the 4th one, and now john Locke being in the box.

It's obvious he is like christian at this point, and is working for the Smoke monster, but I think he is only a part of it, and not the whole thing.

Monster is a collective consciousness, and the "ghost" are the manifestation of the strongest will in this collective consciousness. Or something along those line.
