The guy in the beginning that was wearing a black shirt and talked to Jacob about wanting to kill him.


The finale was awesome! The scene where Sayid's wife getting killed was so sad. I had a feeling Locke's body was in the white box. The undead Locke has started acting different than the regular Locke would have been. At the very end, after they crush you with the 2010 date, you see what looks like Kate's eye open like they did when she first time traveled to the 70s. Maybe the bomb exploding worked?

For a finale, not a lot of people talking. Guess everyones stuck on the edge of their seat.

And if it truly is him entirely, than wouldn't he already have known that Jacob sat in the statue's foot? So why have not just bring Ben there alone and have to have Richard bring him there.

I would think that Ben would question how Locke knew where Jacob was. Although I guess he could use the "the island told me" excuse.

Who is this man in black everyone is talking about? I JUST watched 3 hours of Lost and I have no idea lol.

Beginning of the episode where we first see Jacob on the beach. Another guy dressed in black comes up and they talk about the Black Rock.

But one possible theory I was thinking about tonight was perhaps Jacob's residence is the foot of the statue (as Richard said it to be) and this other man's residence was the underground of the Temple the smoke monster resides in. It might explain why the manifestation of Alex told Ben to follow Locke's every command or she would kill him, since at the time this man had already manifested as Locke.

Someone also mentioned earlier about Locke being the smoke monster since he was off exploring or whatever when Ben was being "judged."

So many answers in this episode. The Sawyer-Juliet stuff was sad. Jack getting hit in the head with the toolbox was funny.

The wait til next season is going to be hell. I'll rewatch everything from the beginning during that time though. I also plan on avoid any and every possible spoiler. Theories are fun to read though.

People keep thinking the eye at the end was Jack's, but his eyes are brown and that eye was green. I would LIKE to think it was Lockes (Coming back thanks to Jacob) but it was probably Kate or Juilet.

What do you guys think about the actor they picked to play Jacob. Like him or dislike? I think most of us expected somebody very different.

Also, what knowledge do you guys think Eloise and Widmore have about the 'war to come'. They both seem to know that something was happening and Widmore said that it was important that Locke was on the right side. Then suddenly we see that Locke is dead ( which I think we all suspected.) But what does that mean, they had known that Locke was dead but they wanted him there for the dark guy to manipulate? So does that mean they are anti-Jacob?

Anybody listen to the Podcast? Just downloaded them onto my Ipod and damn are they good at avoiding questions and great at giving information at the same time. The info on the compass has me intrigued.

Well we do see a white light after juliet hit's the bomb then it cut to the white background so I hopefully assume they were thrown forward in time at some point. I'm more interested in what is going to happen now that Jacob is gone kind of sad how they reveal him just to kill him at the end of the episode but it's safe to assume he'll be back next year in some form at least I hope so. When he met hurley in the cab that had more significance than the others in my opinion. Miles throwing out the obvious was funny but I just don't know how and when are we viewing the show.

The events of the past has already happened when season 1 starts so does that mean they were revived or did some effect of these 2 episodes change the future? I hope over the next number of months the lost people tell more about the finale and some things in general.

What do you guys think about the actor they picked to play Jacob. Like him or dislike? I think most of us expected somebody very different.

I thought he was pretty good and I knew I recognized him from somewhere and imdb confirmed he was the abusive ex-husband of Dexter's girlfriend in Dexter. Pretty much the opposite kind of role, but that guy has done a ton of one off quest star TV roles. I'm sure he'll be back in season 6 though.

I stopped watching at 9 when Hurley stopped the van because of the human roadblock in front of them...it went to commercial and that's when Lost normally ends so I figured that was it. Good thing my brother taped it lol, gotta watch everything I missed.

I was thinking something very similar to this. If the bomb has Faraday's intended effect, and it prevents their plane from crashing on the island at all, then Locke would never have been on the island, and Ben would still be the leader. If Locke was never on the island then the man in black couldn't impersonate him to manipulate Ben into stabbing Jacob.

Granted, if the bomb is what caused the incident, that whole theory is out the window.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

The bomb didn't cause the incident since the electromagnetic force was ongoing already when Juliet blew shit up or at least thats how it looked to me, if shit did go bad though cause of the bomb its kind of funny how everything is Jack's fault (Ben becoming an other, the incident etc)

I think some people are confused about "the man in black" becuase he wasnt wearing black, he was wearing a blue shirt. Im thinking that maybe he is the good guy and jacob is the bad one, even though they make it seem the other way around. If that boat in the beginning was the black rock and jacob brought it there, then the boat full of corpses in the middle of the jungle doesnt lead me to think jacob is good. Especially since the people he has touched (assuming that is how they can come to the island) have had nothing but bad shit happen to them since they got there.

I'm pretty sure the shirt was black. Even Lostpedia says so, but shirt color isn't very important. While it's just a guess I think Jacob is the better of the two because he has faith that mankind can come to the island without it being all "fighting, destroying, and corruption" like his rival said it always was.

Tha Black Rock people ending up dead was probably because the people did exactly what the man in black said they'd do. From Jacob and his rival's convo I'd say Jacob has been drawing people to the island for as long as he could and hasn't given up faith that they can live peacefully on the island.

If the others are jacobs followers most of their actions in previous seasons dont really portray them to be good, except for maybe richard. They either are kidnapping people they believe are good enough to convert to others or they are killed. Now if thats what jacob wants or not then who knows, but ben makes it sound like thats where his orders are coming from. We know he was lying about ever seeing jacob, but he did say that richard brought jacobs orders to him, lists and what not.

But that could explain why jacob never wanted to see ben, assuming he didnt know ben was the loophole. All the lying and killing. But if that is the case why would he let richard make ben the leader and let him keep the position.

Go watch the episode on ABCs website, If you dont think its blue before he sits down then you sir are the retard. Im not even saying the color has any significance. Only reason i brought it up was because a few people were confused about who "the man in black" was.
