this is fun one...

i joined TBC a while after tolond was in, he has a shit ton of jobs, and a piece or 2 of decent gear on each of them, while nothing exceptional on any of em (no BB on mnk, duelist hat rdm, any salvage pieces, etc). He's an average player at best, often having lapses of judgement about what to do.

He does complain about not getting gear, about which job he has to show up on a raid, since i lead most of the raids that TBC did b4 tbc broke i'd try and rotate his jobs around, but since we needed BLMs often, and it was one of his few meritted and well geared jobs, but he'd always complain cuz i would otherwise ask him to come either WHM or SAM (for his war, drk, bst, blu, rdm, nin, etc weren't well geared for einharjar and most other things).

He practically always IGNORES and flat out ignores LS and Party chat whereas our chat would look like this

sometimes ppl would even tell him a job and he'd flat out ignore and go something else, this would also include orders given at raids about doing such and such a thing.

personally altho irritating i came to accept his faults and planned around (never putting him in important situations) and things worked out well, so if ur looking for just a body, get him.

Recently with TheBlueCrew being dispersed, many of us went to Journey's End, Tolond had accepted a pearl, while obviously shopping around different LSes, sry to admit but ur the 3rd option atm, He had applied to Vortex, with a silent application to Demo which he copied and pasted his app there, and both LSes have very different application templates and in his copy paste on demo included something like "reasons why u'd want to join Vortex" so he got a big fat "ur dumb GFTO." So for a time he decided to stay in JE since his rejections, even talking shit about how bad of a LS demo is after secretly applying there and thinking no one knew (a few friends in the LS told me). in JE is worked on lvling THF during primetime raids going as far to tell the Shellholder that he would not be attending a prmetime raid (limbus) cuz he has full Homam and Nashira and it was pointless to him, the shellholder almost broke his pearl then and there, but the next day he said he was leaving servers.

He is very selfish and would lot pieces over other players simply to have em even tho it was dumb, like lotting AF+1 pieces in limbus to make rdm+1 hands instead of RDM's that don't have hat or body+1 or something of the likes. old TBC leaders may try and defend him and maybe a few others, but i grew tired of his antics and am honestly not sad to see him go...

if u need referals for the demo app, idr remember the sites but i know enuff demo members roam these forums, i'm sure one was bound to post the link to his app there any second

I haven't been on Kujata for a while now, but from what I remember Tolond was a pretty level headed decent guy. Maybe a little slow on responding in chat sometimes but nothing that would drastically impede performance. He had a lot of playtime and played his jobs well, and I don't ever remember him complaining about not getting an item.

As far as lotting a lot of things, TBC was point based so if he lotted it then he earned it, and the only mandatory event was dynamis - I can't speak for JE's rules as I was off the server by then. But it wasn't uncommon in TBC for even the leaders to be xping during events.

I'm sure it's easy for Heabea to criticize someone for not gearing up multiple jobs to perfection, after all it's much easier when you only have one, right?

I'd agree pretty much with what Heabea said, in my time in TBC I didn't notice anything spectacular job performance wise about him outside of the what job thing hea posted. Tolond may have ignored what job to come as at times, but take that with a grain of salt because that is also true of alot of people in TBC, in fact if I recall even hea tried to come as his perpetually underleveled COR to some minor stuff .

Also, Amelya: even if it's not uncommon for alot of tbc to exp during events, I'm sure JE isn't the same way hence why he almost got his pearl broken. TBC was points on everything but limbus, but that wasn't the point of what Hea said, rather that Tolond would use alot of his points on keeping all of his jobs average geared without focusing points the way he couldve to pimp out a few major jobs.

Edit-To provide a little bit more clarity on his lootwhoring. Yes he earned his pieces through TBC's point system, though he would send a tell on just about everything he could wear, a lot of stuff he got only because no one else wanted it. Then he would constantly bitch during Dynamis about where's his Red Mage hat or Blue Mage body, or whatever it was for that run he wanted. He would do this throughout, even if he wasn't anywhere near the top of the list due to the way he spent his points. As soon as he got his 5/5 Homam and 5/5 Nashira he stopped going to Limbus completely. Ok there was two runs he made it to the entrance but somehow forgot his Cosmo-Cleanse once and disconnected before we entered the second.

I wouldn't take Tolond even to just fill a spot, he's going to just get in the way.

When the shell degenerated into what it was before it finally broke his flaws became much more apparent.

Fair enough. He seemed like a decent guy when I knew him, but whatever transpired before the shell broke I can't speak for.

The primtetime raid is Limbus, and it is not a Mandatory event to attend. I just got a party after seeking for 3 hours straight on THF65. I told Inui I did not want to go, He kept asking for specific LS people to come to Limbus. I wasn't the only person he was asking to go to Limbus.

I have 506 merits, Both MNK and BLM are capped out.

Lotting AF+1 items in Limbus is all "Free Lot if you can wear it"

He doesn't go out of his way to screw people, so that's a good thing. But like others said, he wants everything for all his jobs -even the ones he uses maybe once every two months- and is not really patient.

Ok guys look. Drama was one of the reasons why I made the decision not to continue with the path TBC was heading. It was over a course of two years where the poison first began, but thats all in the past now.

I speak as a former leader and shellholder of TBC. There have been many things accomplished with people from TBC past and present and despite everything that has happened, it was a hell of a ride and many times I had experienced the full effort of everyone who was a part of it that allowed TBC to dominate kujata for over one year.

Times do change and so must people try as well. I had given everyone who remained in TBC a chance to figure out for themselves what their future held for them. I did my best in presenting them an option and JE has been 110% gracious through it all. However, I knew beforehand too that option may not have been for everyone. So the facts are that, some left, some went elsewhere, some quit, and the rest crossed over.

But you are not looking for a history of kujata so I will just proceed with the cross server app. Here is Tolond in a nutshell:

+ A member with a multitude of jobs that can fit any situation.

+ Serviceable if not spectacular at most his jobs. However they are at least well merited if they aren't geared as well.

+ While he was in TBC, he stayed completely loyal to the linkshell. Never once did he ever consider leaving until I made the decision to dissolve the shell.

+ Despite what people have said, he is not a drama starter, although he can show displeasure now and then like anyone. But there's no baggage with the guy, nor will he screw anyone over.

+ You may get some frustrations with job choices, especially with BLM as he's been raiding on that for a majority of the time.

+ Any piece he's gained was by the TBC Point system. There was no such thing as lootwhoring despite what people say. If you had the points, you could lot, simple as that. It just means he gained a ton of points to be able to do so at times. More power to him. But he certainly does want his jobs geared and will aim for that.

+ Tendency to not pay attention to party/ls chat. Best bet is to send /tells. Can be frustrating at times.

+ A hardcore raider. While under my limbus group, managed to aquire both full homam and nashira gear and continued to be a part of my limbus runs until they ended. (For a period of about 4-5 weeks after obtaining the final homam/nashira. He also obtained his fair share of points as well so you shouldn't get too many attendance difficulties if you take his TBC habits into account.

+ Obviously he's been shellhopping as of recently, any cross server app, by definition is a shell hopper. Do consider that he's been in one shell for over 2.5 years now. This will ultimately be your decision to make, and I'm sure your applications/trial process will take that into consideration.


To sum up, what you're getting in tolond is a decent, job-flexible guy with some flaws.

If your shell is looking for a decent utility guy who raids alot, he fits the bill. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to PM me on this forum. I check it every now and then when I post here.

I've known Tolond for a while now, been in a linkshell with him for years, and a nyzul isle group for the past year. And yes.. he does like to outfit his jobs with the best stuff as fast as he can... but really, who doesn't? He's got a lot of jobs and they are all well merited. He seems to have above average luck with lots too.

He's a good guy though. He went blm many times when I begged and pleaded not to have to nuke for a night or a month..
