First off, use the search function. There's been at least one SFIV thread. Second, the game sucks balls. If you haven't had a chance to play it at an arcade yet, do yourself a favor and try to find one near you in an effort to save $60.

Actually I've played it in the arcades and no your wrong it owns sorry your favorite 3S character isn't in it because 3S was a financial failure for Capcom.

It's kind of a letdown. The graphics had a chance to be awesome but alot of the design choices are dumb. Have you seen what Dan looks like in motion? He looks like a hunched over monster. Some of the character expressions look really grotesque.

Been playing on and off for the past few months. At first I just watched and thought it was whatever, but when I started playing it was pretty fun. It's not too hard to get good at it. Too bad the competition I'm up against are some of the best around here so I rarely ever win a game.

VIQ: What is your KOF98 UM main team? I'm going to assume Krauser, Geese, Iori like everyone else lolol

Seemingly out of the blue but how the heck do you guys pull off commands that require a full rotation of the stick? I usually had Rock on my Capcom vs. SNK 2 team but his Evac Toss was driving me nuts another example is almost all of Zangief's moves when I was messing around with him in training mode. My problem is that I try and do the rotation and they just jump.

You have to buffer the motion into the ending frames of other abilities, like do a forward standing kick, and drop a 360 in during the animation. Pop the punch button after the kick animation at the right time in the 360 and it'll get you a SPD, easier to do on empty jump ins, or while in block stun.

you can cheese 360s by doing 270s in some games including SF4. something like

f. df. d. db. b. bu. f. will do a 360.

What stick are you guys going to order? And is most people on BG going Ps3 or 360?

I am thinking of getting a new HORI and grabbing the Ps3 version.

The graphics/models/frames for this game are just downright disappointing, but the gameplay looks like it could have a decent tourney following. I am sure Evolutions will follow SF4 fairly strong as well, so it is at least worth getting good at for Evo competition (though the focus will always be the king, MVC2!!)

Edit- From what all my friends are saying in NY, Ryu/Sagat/Chun-Li are pretty much the only characters used in money match. Sagats LWK priority apparently makes him the only choice for players other than Wong or Clockwork right now.

I am getting the TE stick for PS3. Have it pre-ordered so I better not get fucked. I also have another stick my friend custom made for me with hori and sanwa parts for the ps2, but I just got the inPin converter and it works flawlessly on the PS3 when i play HDR. I currently use Ken and am pretty scrubby right now. Ryu/Sagat/Chun lol, sounds about right, you seem to be forgetting about Boxer, god damn that fucker. Also Japan National Champ was Dhalsim, Daigo didn't make top 8 =(
