i think PS3 online play is horrible. i went to play on my friend's xbox 360, and idk if its just me. but on ps3, ill find a game once every 5~10 min or so. i keep reloading and ill pray for anyone with 2 bars and above. i guess its just a FL thing, idk. but when i went to my friend's xbox, he had so many people to choose from with over 4 bars like it was nothing and he lives like 10 min away. i might consider getting an xbox just to play the SSF4 if i ever get a job again ;; their 4 bar connections play like my once in a week green bar connection.

Fixed. I have played GGPO for years, and the games are smooth as butter whether I'm playing someone in NY or Tokyo. The GGPO games also have a lot more data to keep track of.

SF4, hypothetically as we were told, is stressful to the console hardware, and a complex net code was too much for the consoles to comprehend while also processing the game and its lame graphics.

Options:

1. Go back to a much better, (raised to the 9,000th power), graphical interface which is less stressful to the console. ie - think "3S HD"

This won't happen until SF 5. (2016)

2. Suffer with the current netcode with "Improvements" as they will advertise to us, but will actually be a near mirror.

A lot of top WC players in fact aren't wasting their money to qualify since they know WC is free to EC. That's just real talk coming from a west coast perspective.

Since there are only 2 qualifying spots now, I predict Ultradavid and possibly Tatsu

Also I was talking to Marn and he told me Justin might use Fei, and he might use Able if Justin uses Fei

you already said EC has a better group of qualifiers than WC but do you think EC has a better overall playerbase when it comes to SF4? we all know they are crazy about MVC2 than the west is about tekken and whatnot lol, but i mean strictly for SF4. you think WC overall has a better community/players since no one keeps secrets and try to help each other out? or is there more of monstrous players besides the usual 6 that come down and kick ass.

no one ever brings cameras to the east, so its hard to see how they do it. and im in FL so you know community sucks down here lol. we have a couple areas in south FL where people gather together (consoles onry), but besides that flash metroid guy. its nothing but washed up sagats and shit community here sucks and half the people are on pads lol. but this is in the palm beach/broward county area. i could be wrong if its in miami or orlando.

and i dont like that flash kid. some biiiig, huge white guy almost beat the shit out of him in a parking lot in dade county when he was running his mouth about a car or something lol. dude has a huge fuckin mouth. and he only talks like that to white people. i guess he figured theyll never defend themselves lol.

All you need to know is the playerbase of Chinatown will wipe the floor with Denjin or Arcade Infinity.

East > West in Mvc2, SF3, and SF4. I will get SF2 to the West. GGXX/Blazblue is also dominated by the east because of Flash/Marn; Flash being the best in the US who doesn't live in JP (Heartnana is #1).

A lot of the west players like to think West > East because a lot of the big, big tourneys end up held on the west. A lot of great players are in Philly, Atlanta, and Baltimore (other than the obvious NYC) and don't have the money or time to travel all the way to Cali to play in tourneys where the prize is only $500 ~ $1500, especially if Justin/Marn are going.

Arturo or Sanford will tell you the same thing I just said, word for word about each point or topic.

The icing on the cake was Evo. Sanford top 4? Come on....Sanford isn't even top 5 @ CFA. Art got knocked out by Marn, I believe, and they both would have made top 8 if not for that. Not even 25% of the best east coast players went to Evo because a plane ticket + room alone will cost 600-800 bucks. It is a lot easier for west to drive or grab a $100 plane ticket.

Take players, such as Valle/Ross/Goot/Kai, and they aren't top 5-7 at Chinatown. That alone should give you your answer. The one time Gootecks and Ross came, random people were trying to MM all night and they were scared to put up. You get Brandon/Yipes/Sanford/Eugene/+6-7 random of their friends going on a Friday night, and there will no doubt be a MM! lol
