"Real players know how to stack the odds and don't rely on 50/50"...or whatever stupid shit you said, I'm trying my best to repress it lest it infect me... is so far beyond wrong I can't even fathom it...you're actually trying to tell me that most mixup games don't boil down to 50/50? and at the end of the day you're essentially relying on that to win?

What the fuck are they using then? MAGIC? They must be, to be able to do these magic mixups that you claim "stack the odds in their favor"...but only if you know what's up.

The game at the mechanics level isn't exactly complex...

The fact that you can't even understand why disproportionate entry games or why 17/25 characters being able to touch of death you, are a major disadvantage ;speaks to how little you understand anything about fighting games.

it bugs me that people would rather pick a character that's "top tier" rather than one they actually like, simply because they may win one or two more matches, that's about my only beef with the 'tier' system and the noobs that look at it thinking sagat is the only one who can win a tournament

I usually pick a character I think looks cool, and try to make them work.

I got extremely lucky in Marvel because I've always thought the 3 coolest Marvel characters were Magneto, Phylocke, and Carnage. 2/3 works and Storm is cool so I went with MSP as my team. Just happened to be a top 3 team in the game in terms of tiers.

First 3 months of SF4 I tried to main Sakura, but holy balls does she suck.

I'm the same, I pick and stay with characters who appeal to me either aesthetically or story-wise before ever considering viability, which more often than not leads to low-tier whoring.

So i got the game borrowed from my uncle for a few weeks, i would like to get some practice matches in, i'm going back to cammy and dropping rufus, i fucking suck since i've done nothing but spam bb and the occasional GGAC.

i think i only chose blanka at 1st because i was tired of losing to him. so i wanted to see how these people developed their stats. after i found out the gimmicks and the bnb to him, i just went a totally different route and went from there and i started to notice... i dont lose with him as much as i do with other people. maybe ill use him more... and than i just ended up maining him. at 1st i was sagat just because i liked the dude. but no matter how good you are with him, you never get the satisfaction or the sense of accomplishment of beating someone else as you would with a viper or chun lol. but another character that fits my style ok is guile, even though i hardly ever use him. hes as fast as rog and can shoot out sonic booms like kens fireballs lol, and his combos are so easy to link! maybe ill try him out in super. i always told people if guile had an ultra to link into like fadc special move cancels like rufus or ryu, there is NO doubt in my mind, he'd be up there with the rest of the A-tier people lol. but hes just my fuck around character. i also like abel a lot. i find him the most stylish out of everyone lol. i just wish i could play at those lvl's like shiro and whatnot

in super, i do want to let go of blanka. im tired of working too hard to look cool winning with a lower tier guy haha. ill do that if i fool around, but in local tourneys, i wanna win i might try out cody since not many around here expressed interest in him, or deejay. he fits my playstyle a lot as well lol.

Debating if I'll still use Rufus in the new one. Juri looks amazing, and I might go back to Guile, but they nerfed my EX snake strike.... I loved my free 21% damage on launch.

I'll probably stick with Viper, but Juri looks like she's just as hot and cool ;o So if I pick up a new character it will probably be her.
