If you are playing against spamming shoryu kens, that is really easy to counter. Expect a shoryu on every wakeup and punish him. Bait him on wakeups with FA/SA and dash away and punish, simple as that.

For Zangief, your best bet is to play keep away. If you are a Ken/Ryu player, NEVER hurricane kick toward a gief. On wakeup if gief did palm into you, expect him to try and grab, do not jump up, dash backwards or jump backwards to avoid the grab.

As for guiles, just try not to jump toward him. His air throw has priority over almost everything

So you are agreeing Cheap is a valid word to use during gameplay? It's not.

I am the only one that was saying people that use the word cheap in SF are scrubby whiners.

There's lots of things in video games that are plenty cheap, good/hard AI in a fighting game is not one of these things however. But saying such a blanket statement is stupid.

I noticed that spaming shoryuken thing does seem to be popular, this has got to be the worst strategy ever cause its so easy to counter. Its like instant win for me whenever someone uses this. What's even dumber is they don't learn and keep doing it and getting their ass kicked.

At least half of the people I played didn't know how to use EX moves or Supers/Ultras.

I get a laugh out of it whenever someone sends me a PSN message about being cheap. I don't like it when people say something is cheap cause if they were good enough they figure out how to counter it.

There seems to be lots of "spam one technique people." It's like a steady stream of Ryus and Kens that constantly try to cross you up and shoryuken you down, cross up attack, shoryuken...

I like mixing it up my character choice across the whole roster, and the endless Ryu/Ken gets so boring. After you beat them several times they venture over to Sagat, and if they're really adventurous (or desperate), they might might pick Guile.

At least on the up side, beating a spammy Ken with Dan is an extra satisfying win.

I enjoyed it for the most part last night, on the PS3 the some of the levels seem to take forever to load.

Also fuck Seth, he is so annoying. Seemed like 90% of what I did last night was somehow dodged by him

Cannot wait for the replay feature. I hope there's a way to share and view other people's replays. CViper is playing a lot like Rock Howard, haha, would not be surprised if the design was intentional to attract the SNK crowd.

I had to turn off the option that allows you to be challanged while playing single player Arcade mode. Took me over an hour of getting interupted by "Here comes a new Challenger!!!" to beat it on my first play-through lol. Gil is 100 times gayer then Seth though, fucking Reraise in a fighting game is just broke. I kept expecting Seth to RR up and kick my ass after KO'ing him.

Probably won't be going back online till i get everyone unlocked...wish i could find that damn list of unlockables...

I cannot play CViper decently for the life of me

All you have to do is hit and run. She has a counter for anything really, if you can spot them. Her moves lack priority, so she's really defensive. I'm winning mostly due to focus attacks, though. A lot of people haven't begun learning how use/counter them, so it's what winning me games atm haha. Learn to focus cancel.

I actually learned a lot from this video. It's in Japanese, but the description on the side and footage is enough to understand the concepts.

I have no problem doing FA attacks, problem is since im playing online my timing on combos with FADC is thrown off a bit, still winning though since I keep facing Ken/Ryus all day. And then there are the Sagats who don't know how to play him that are making me sad =(

Picked this up yesterday, loving it a lot so far, but also swearing like a sailor to my TV. I'm really rusty on SF games. I went in on medium and got my ass handed to me, especially by Zangief and Seth. They really could have created a better villain IMO..an evil version of Gouken, or something.

Still loving Bison though, I always had fun playing him in previous SF's..CViper is pretty bad ass also, I can't play her well either, but the first time I fought her I was pretty impressed. I would post my XBL handle, but I'm still unlocking characters, and I would just get owned online I'm sure lol.
