EDIT: Also Ken was incredible in 3rd Strike, can't really say otherwise. Only top tier character that's any fun to play anyway.

Were fireballs toned down in SF 3? Yes. They were only good for keeping chains going after initial strikes to connect into SA.

But, was Ken/Ryu toned down? Fuck no, they ruled that game.

I also loved that SF3 took actual skill and strategy, unlike this garbage they just released on us.

Edit - Also, don't confuse everyone for a Ryu scrub. Sure, some random can make a site showing himself beasting Ryu noobs, but any pro will rip the fuck out of a Blanka with Ryu.

I'm surprised we don't see more action with Rose. Before the game was released I read a lot of speculation about her being one of the top characters, and now I haven't seen a single one or any high-end players talking about her.

Sidenote on TE sticks: I bought one for when other people are over, and it just broke.

The actual buttons/stick in them are fine(I actually liked it better than the one I built for myself), but the circuit boards they used are garbage, that's what went bad on mine.

The actual design of the stick is great. The fail is when Wong-Chu half-asses it across the pacific well putting it together.

I could fix the problem myself, but for $150 I sure as hell shouldn't have to.

We're both saying the same thing here: SF3 required skill to play rather than picking Ryu/Ken and cheaping your way to the top. I never said they suck, actually the opposite. Good Ryu and Ken players are really good, and cheap players suck. I just prefer some more variety in my opponents. I think I've seen 2 or maybe 3 people at my arcade using someone other than Ryu and Ken and they were really good. Not that there weren't a few Shotos that took the time to learn the game here and there.

Also, I wouldn't consider SF4 as garbage. It actually looks like Capcom is trying to increase the overall player base for 2-D fighters. It's like the 90's all over again with new players who probably have never played a fighting game before to learn from scratch without being intimidated by a steep learning curve and pros waiting to own them online. And to anyone who's pissed about their favorite characters from Alpha and SF3: This is Capcom we're talking about. I'm willing to put money that they're going to put out a Super SF4 Turbo Special Championship Trilogy edition eventually.

I already called, there's nothing to exchange it for. They don't have any stock. Same with where I bought it from(Amazon).

It's not a big deal cause I have my own stick for playing by myself.

But it broke well I had 5 friends over earlier playing winner...that pretty much put a downer on the whole evening and can't really do decent Vs. play until it's fixed or I get something else.

But yeah, fixing it myself is easy, but doing it also voids the warranty.

I main her... and there's a few people on SRK who use her; give it more than just a few days.

not that i know there's a command list, i mean how to actually do it since its not easy to understand it.

ok my bad, the motion is:

charge down-back for 2 seconds, then quickly make this motion: down-forward, down, down-back, back-up, up, up-forward, immidatly followed by 1 kick button for super, 2+ kick buttons for Ultra. clear as mud huh? lol its easy once you practice. This game is so forgiving with 360 degree motions, its the first game i can use gief reliably with a game pad.

It's a rule I have stood by for many, many years since my gaming days on SNES. I will never buy any non proprietary equipment for any console. I did break down one time for the PS2 and it worked for a week. Never again.

why would you sell the hori. Surely there are inevitably other fighters you'd want the stick for in the future?

Blazblue only one I am interested in, and:

1. It is in the arcade 15 minutes away with actual competition
2. I have a custom stick
3. Blazblue is cited for a JP release, which might not even be this year.
3a. Most likely, won't even be released in the US, and if it does, will be in 2010.

Doesn't have to come out in the US if Arc releases it for the PS3 in japan
