the last person I'd trust about tiers is someone who had to buy the game and a stick to find out he didn't like it, I guess 4 months of playing it at the arcade wasn't enough brotha?

I like the arcade of the game, which I have stated already. I didn't think the input online was going to be as bad as it is that it forces you to change all timing for chains. None of us liked the game online. The game is great from an arcade standpoint. The only reason for any of us to have the home version is for home tourneys, but there is only need for one copy of the game for those.
That being said, it still comes way short of past Capcom games, which will all still outshine SF4 at major tourneys 10 fold.
Long live 3S and MVC2 Dreamcast tourneys.
You are right most of the time on here as much as some people like to disagree, but for once I am going to have to disagree. I believe he is one of the best. It may not be apparent in other parts of the world, or in other parts of the US. But in SoCal, we have our own Balrog army and they are fucking beastly. Ronstoppable, gootecks, combofiend, and many of their followers play one mean Balrog
I never argued that. I just chose not to spend 500$ on one. I'm aware, I have some plenty of people on my friendlist that use sticks on Live, and they're way ahead of me in terms of skill now.
Sticks are sticks to me but honestly even against people with sticks, especially during netplay, it isn't that big of a difference. Maybe the people I'm playing suck, I don't know, but I could care less because I'm having fun. The tournament scene is way behind me and I can absolutely understand the advantages of a stick; but there's just something funny about Weltall spending 500$ on SF4 and not enjoying the game.
Weltall = typical tourny fag.
Holy God Christ Mother of Pearl, learn to read. I have said like 3x now I have a custom stick.... the HRAP3 is an extra.....
......

Also, come to Final Round XII. I will be there, and I will beat you in 3S, SF4, MVC2, or whatever fighter you would like to play. I'll be at Evo in July as well if you can't make it to Final Round.
I can't stand people who think they're "l337 by association." The best player in the world could have slept over your house and fucked your mom on tape for all I care. Quite acting like a lame ass wanna be tough guy just because you're a tournament groupie.
LOL, reading this whole thread has been comedy. I think Weltall fails to realize that not everyone splooges on themselves on framexframe moves(or w/e). People enjoy the game, you don't, shut up and move on lol.
Anyone found any videos of a good player using Gouken? I've haven't seen anyone play as him, and still haven't unlocked him. D:
so like.. anyone know what the trick is to the "quesadilla bomb" from el fuerte? says to hold the kick button and thats it.. but all that does is kick and then nothing happens ;x... help prz!
hold it longer then 3 seconds, You can hold it as long as you want while you charge through with other moves and that
it's cause you suck Duwie![]()
I sincerely hope you are not serious. Many top tourney players wreck with Rog and IIRC Japan has him in top to mid high tier, with the likes of Rufus Gief Ryu etc.
Again this goes back to, you're not the only kid around here who has ever played SF competitivly most of their life so please stop acting like you are. I will admit 90% of the kids in this thread are online pad scrubs but w/e at least they arent arguing too much like they know SF and are just having fun with the game.
I can respect that, but it's hard to respect someone with his 2 buddys trying to say something other than what all of JP arcade players and most of the West Coast have been saying since game release.
Let's be real here bud lol.
Fix'd
Dude, I grew up with street fighter even back when they had the big rubber balls you had to punch before the 6 button layout was invented. After learning the game with Ryu, I forced myself to main characters nobody else used like E. Honda, Vega, Zangeif and eventually settled on Balrog. I kind of gravitated torward Guilty Gear around the time 3rd Strike came out, but I'm glad Capcom has made an attempt to reboot the franchise for newer players. The one recurring problem with a 2-D fighter's player base is that it became a sort of niche deal that intimidated and discouraged new players.
