Are you on 360 or ps3?

On 360 It's almost impossible to find matches. If I do create match nobody ever comes on it whatsoever. If I do custom match it doesn't ever find me any games. The only time I can play is quick match, and if I can get in 1 fight for every 20 I click on, I'm lucky.

Don;t worry ps3 is the same . Rank match sucks since all u get is a bunch of ppl with 1k BP

On the 360 if nobody joins your created matches, it's likely a NAT issue. Make sure your ports are forwarded and test your connection.

I had a great session today that alleviated all the Ken rage that's been building inside me. I played some guy who would only use Ken with an occasional Ryu. I clobbered him 8 times in a row, using:

Boxer, Dhalsim, Blanka, Dan, Akuma, Sakura, E. Honda, then lastly Boxer again

After the 8th fight, he put up the red cranky face, so I put up the yellow winky face. It then became apparent he wasn't going to hit Ready anymore, so I left the lobby.

Ken users just never learn... last 50 times I Hadouken'd he spun around it and punched me in the face... but maybe this time...

When I have 100+ I'm going to put together a collage video of me using head-stomp to punish ken/ryu/akuma/gouken. Most of my matches thats *all* I need to do...wait for fireball...punish!

I feel like the BP system is pretty unfair too. Win 20-30 points if lucky and lose 100 is very silly. Even modifying the search parameters, you don't always get more skilled/equal skill players. I also find it a bit amusing that "skill" is gauged, I assume, by your amount of BP. I have 1500+ (just hit 100 wins last night) and I haven't mastered any aspect of the game yet, and almost everyone I've fought on live in a total scrub it seems.

Sagat is also incredibly ridiculous. Even crappy Sagats have the potential to cause problems.

Looking for skilled players that don't plan Ken/Ryu/Akuma all the time... gamertag is greyenvy. I play Rose. Also, if you call me "dog" or w/e on the mic, I'm just gonna leave the game, "son".

95% of the best players use the word "dog" and "son" in the SF community. Good luck.

I just got my ass kicked a few days ago from someone playing Dhalsim with me on Gief. I held my own pretty good, though. But a turtleing Dhalsim that teleports everywhere and uses projectiles to keep you away on a character that forces you to play close range was a very good decision.

I lost like 100 BP from that fight too he only had about 1900. i added him to FL though. one of the most friendliest JP players i met so far on there.

I was being sarcastic. I'd never drop in the middle of a match! They're hard enough to find on the weekends as it is!

My friend plays a mean Dhalsim, but I can beat it most of the time. If you score 2-3 knockdowns per round it is over for Dhalsim. Dhalsim can chain his Ultra into his Super and do some crazy chain damage though.

I recently picked up Dhalsim as my alternate. Gonna level up him over spring break. His instant air teleport crossup is fun

I'm still debating who to make my Alt, I've gotten really good with Seth(I was surprised that he wasn't banned in tourney play, but after playing him I can see why, he's not any more effective than Ryu is), but want to make sure he's "here to stay" before dedicating more time to him.

Other-wise I'm gonna focus on Gen, since I need a close-up offensive character, which Bison most assuredly is not.

I'd probably say Cammy is my main with Bison my alt. I want to master those two characters before I get into trying a third one. Use to love Fei Long in HDR but he seems to have gotten the nerf-bat in SFIV.

Ya Fei's old tricks won't work anymore, his chicken wing annimation and speed make it almost useless now, and his pressure game with foreward f.k and foreward m.k isan't as effective because of thier annimation changes as well.

He has some pretty wicked comobos, but they don't seem to connect very well outside of training mode, probably just operator error on my part though.

Despite only having a gamepad I think I'm going to main C.Viper. I stopped by the Shouryuken forums to see what they have on her and it's a bit overwhelming. I'm still trying to figure out high jump canceling since someone claimed they can do it on a normal Xbox remote. Other than that I'm still working on unlocking all of the other characters before I try and choose an alternate. Fallout 3 has been seriously cutting into my urge to play although I think I'm going to try and do some character training challenges tonight.

So I played the game yesterday for the first time after a year-long hiatus of SF games, and I was kicking ass w/ Sagat lol (my first time maining him). He is fucking ridiculous, although I got my ass handed to me w/ those who used Bison, Blanka, or Balg. I need to practice more vs them. I was playing w/ a friend and didn't have problems canceling, countering, even combos, but on line is another story ;x

Edit: So I use Balrog against fireball spaning bots and even though I'm new w/ him, I keep dominating matches :D

I am currently bored of all the Ken/Ryu/Akuma/Sagat fights I have been deleaing... allways the same strategy they use: get in corner, hadouken all the time... its sooo boring.

I must say tough I miss some of Chun-Li's older moves from SFII and SSFII, they either got removed completly or nerfed down to hell ._. but luckily there are some new moves to compensate for
