DreamTR, one of the guys in the final 16 for SF4, didn't even make the tourney because his flight from Nashville to Dallas was late, and then all his post-connectors kept getting delayed in Dallas.

I play against him almost every day, and the guy is a fucking beast. It is a shame he couldn't make it out there due to airport issues.

I've switched to mostly player matches. Although its gotten alot better, i'm still fighting 50% Sagats on ranked matches.

You gotta feel kind of bad for Justin too considering you know 4/5 times he wins against Daigo. Looks like he was trying to rush him too much instead of just letting it come to him and eat his opponents mistakes like he usually does.

I dont remember the last time my Gen was beat on lolxbl, currently sitting on like 4k BP with strictly using his old ass. Maybe a couple Balrog wins tops.

i never say shit that elevates me over anyone else in SFIV. im just like everyone else. everyone has a chance against me. im nothing special, im just having fun lol. so have fun with your 4200 pts which rly doesnt mean shit these days. ive had perfects fighting dictator with blanka on my brother's 0 BP's vs 4600's. online battles hardly mean shit. so pulling out the pts card was dumb. most of the time its battle of lag than it is battle of skill.

I remember playing him in CvS2 on xbox live back a number of years ago. Myself and my friend beat him a bunch of times and we recorded the matches because we were shocked how little fight was put up for someone ranked in the top 3. If it's the same guy. Also beat Fosterbrute and Phantom Iceman a number of times. Not talking trash. I'm sure he's beastly, and I would get wrecked now as I only casually play, but those were some really fun matches.

That Ryu is nice, but I'm still having a lot of fun beating people with Abel. Right now I fluctuate from 2.5-3k a lot. It's nothing special, but know that if I just work on my execution I'll be a lot better. I usually beat a random Sagats/Akumas only to get challenged by the same person who then wants to use Guile and turtles all day.

Turtle guiles make me rage more than any other character in the game. It's hard to time forward dash cancels properly when they're constantly messing with the speed of their sonic booms. It's an even bigger pain when you're trying fight through them in the middle or random lag spikes.

Other than that shitty matchup, Abel is a lot of fun. He doesn't have any real abusable combo's or specials so he's basically just a head game character. Which I love, because when you win with him you actually feel like you outsmarted and outplayed the other guy.

You guys have only played like what, 4 main west coast people? Gootecks, Combofiend, Mike Ross, and CSB? You haven't even seen some of the more beastier people down here yet. Combofiend you guys haven't played since sinsation and you guys only had two west coast players play in FR, both who placed top 5. Come around Devastation/EVO time I promise we give you guys a better run for your money, not saying that we will dominate, just saying when everyone from everywhere is gonna be there, we will finally settle the better coast, for now you guys are definitely ahead though from recent showings

I love the coast battles.

East has always been the BEAST.

You have to remember, the coast is decided by which team is best overall:

CVS2, MVC2, SF4, SF ST, 3rd Strike



West coast has the most players and they are all great, but East Coast has the overall best players. When it comes down to a 4 v 4 tourney, the east dominates.

Wong + Sanford + DemonHyo > Anything the west has from top to bottom. Then you can go down history road and grab guys like SooMighty and the tilt becomes even greater. It becomes a measure of quantity vs. quality. I'm not saying those west coast guys aren't quality players, but the west has never dominated the top spot consistently with guys like Wong/Sanford/SooMighty. The closest thing you have is Valle during the SF2 / SF ST / MVC1 days and players quickly caught up to him.

You guys have a couple of game-specific players that are great, such as Valle @ SF ST, but he can't compete anymore in Marvel/SF4.


Edit - All that being said, Clockw0rk is my favorite player :D
Edit 2 - Also, it won't even be close this year East/West in Marvel. The best the west has now is Chunksta.
