I don't exactly get how turbo helps? Don't get me wrong I've only had the game for like 3 days so where turbo would come in I'm just not seeing it.

fought one gief who had like 11k, he demolished me pretty handily, only other highest i've seen is like barely under 3k and it was a sagat player

also, how do people feel about charge vs. 'regular' characters? i've found i have an easier time doing things with someone like CViper or Ryu versus MBison (not the boxer) or Chun-li and the like, thoughts/opinions? easier to do charge characters with an arcade cab?

getting in combos with charge characters (with Special moves) is alot harder and is more reliant on Lag/connection. Some Combos that link into ultras are very difficult to even do with charge characters and need in most cases the opponent to be in the corner.

example is Chun-Lis final combo in hard trial, or linking the ultra in to a combo that contains Ex-Lightning kicks. if you are off a bit you will miss... Lag ----> you will most likely miss.

My main is chun-Li but I am used to charge charas, since she is my main since SFII

non-charge charas are more easy to play. Usually.

Also, yikes. I went to a friend's house and played on PSN, I can see what Weltall is complaining about. Xbox Live isn't anything amazing for SFIV, but it looks like the incarnation of god compared to the garbage that is PSN's online.

i started maining the chunners, she's a lot of fun, i'm getting a bit used to chaining charge moves but usually have trouble actually implementing them because i either forget or screw them up when trying to do them, favorite combo of mine is (if they're in a corner) jump heavy kick -> thing where she kicks them into the air (but not the move where she follows it up) then ex flash kicks to ex spinning bird, looks awesome and is pretty easy to pull off for some decent damage

I main Viper and if I stick to 3 bar connection or more, I'm generally okay ;o Playing with 2 bars or less just make me try to pull my hair out.

Really? I'm usually lucky to see a connection above 2 bars and 90% of the time I really won't have noticeable lag.

When lag does hit though, man it's a doozy.

For me I get 3 bars or more probably about half the time. Anybody from Europe I can get 3 bars max, and anybody from Asia it's always 1 bar. (I live in the East coast)

When im visiting japan i get 3 bars to japan and koreans (fuckers are aggressive) around 2 bars to the chinese folks and others on the main land. Japanese internet is superior, much like everything else they have in comparison to the united states. <3 japan, look forward to having a flat there someday.

im so addicted to this game sometimes. i know ill never be in the same category as the "great ones" but i love to have fun with it.

my mindgames is ok. i can psyche ppl out by doing either the most obvious things at the wrong moments (which is what they usually dont expect when fighting a good player) or vice versa. i would sometimes walk up to a crouching guile expecting a jab spam but i just end up throwing him, when he was thinking i was trying to do a super or soemthing. some other ppl are clearly better than me in that though.

like krandor. he can read me like a book sometimes, but the next round, ill have him in a corner not knowing what to do. i find the 2 best players for me to do that with is bison and blanka. but i cant play bison all that well, so i use blanka.

one thing i suck with is my execution. ill know how to prevent things from happening, and how to take the initiative, but my inputs are so fidgety. i seriously need to work on that. weltall and balb are masters at that imo. i never seen them do something by accident like i have. or if they did, they never made it obvious. when i FDC from ryu shoryuken and than instead of an ultra i do another ex shoryuken. i feel stupid lol. whats sad is it doesnt even connect sometimes.

i really need to practice. im still average, but good lord this is fun.
