I don't want to hear shit about Chun. Ken's D+MK has about the same distance and he is must better anti-air and rushdown than Chun. People are pretty cheap these days with Akuma too.

MadCatz does not disappoint. Even after using quality parts.

Damn, didn't even think about needing a fighting game controller for the game... Time to go looking

You should have known better than to order the SE or TE Street Fighter stick they are selling in the stores like EB/GameCrazy/whatever.

Do a little bit of research always on controllers.

As for the 360 pad being bad:

If you are playing someone on the same skill level as yourself (be it pro or beginner) you will lose 10/10 times in my opinion. You might be able to squeeze one win out.

The TE madcatz sticks are one of the best sticks on the market right now.

    Lol....right....

They don't even come close to AIAB, Aki, Modded 360 MAS,HRAP2 + 360/Ps3 Mod, HRAP3, etc.

The throughput and extend of the TE is AWFUL. The 4 box is AWFUL.

They also need to be modded right out of the box to even be considered...

Might as well order a GT-Y, Sanwa 30MM buttons, Sanwa 24MM buttons, and a Bat top custom the moment you purchase your TE.

I paid $240 for a custom and $89 for a HRAP3, so don't give me anything about not being able to afford the crappy TE.

Edit- Oh, and by the way. Those snap-in Sanwa/Seimitsu buttons that we all use don't even "Snap-in" the TE stick without sawing down the connections. Try if you want without sawing, but you will get bad response.

    Shit - I just realized I have spent $500 on SF4...lol...

Edit 2 - The TE one might actually come with 30MM Sanwa, but I know if you try to replace them it requires sawing, and most of us will go through 20-30 buttons.

The Xbox360 pad is awful. Maybe you can last a few games with it, but I would think due to its awkward position and stiffer buttons you'd get hand cramps quickly.

As for the Fight Pad, there's nothing wrong with the IGN review; they basically say you get what you pay for. It's reliable, but I personally wouldn't get it due to it's floating circular D pad, which I've grown to hate. I like the precision I get from D pads like the PS controller.

As for arcade sticks, you'll find a lot of people are just spouting overpriced plastic parts from Japanese companies, to show how much of a SF4 bad ass they are while gaining a marginal advantage over something like the fightpad. :D I'll happily play anyone with my 39.99 third party controller and still kick their ass. Haha sorry, just seeing a list of people on Shoryuken listing their e-peen arcade stick as their tool of choice is silly. Like it makes a difference.

    Come the 17th, it's on.

edit: for opinions on various controllers and such, it'd probably be best to browse shoryuken.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, have fun getting raped. You won't come close to beating anyone on your level or above with a pad.

I don't see the point of a six surface button xbox/ps3 controller. How does one go about hitting two or three punch/kick buttons at a time? Even hitting a punch and a kick at the same time would seem difficult. When I am stuck with a controller like that I rely on the shoulder/trigger buttons a lot.

TE stick uses Sanwa buttons.. but QC issues seem to run rampant so far. Not surprising from MadCatz.

I'm doing fine with my modded HRAP3.

lmao, i think you confused that guide with "Street Fighter for Dummies".

    about pads vs. sticks ~

I use the normal PS3 pad and I have NEVER (in HD Remix) been beaten in a straight up fireball fight with ken/ryu (throw hadokens until someone gets hit or jumps) except by a few Sagat users.

Mind you, I have been using pads since SFII came out for SNES. In short, my thumb can travel a half-inch faster than your wrist can travel 2 inches.
