I just got my octagon gate and sanwa buttons for my original hrap today (I use an adapter to hook on the ps3). I cut my fingers while trying to unplug the wires to the buttons ;o they were so tight!

Anyway, I have to say I recommend the octo-gate as well! My success rate trying to perform an instant HJBK went up a ton just having it. The buttons are a slight improvement over the Hori ones, but probably not worth the hassle if you feel the Hori ones are fine.

i like sagat with blanka. but even than, hes still a pain. sliding under his fireball spams is still risky if im not in the range.

Sagat is weak. I pwn Sagats 80% of the time with Cammy. Close range combat/Focus attacks > sagat. Only thing you gotta watch for is his throws. But mostly i just bait the tiger uppercut/tigerknee/ultra and he's toast. And if he wants to sit back and block, focus attack. Just make sure u have a good combo to take advantage of every opening, cuz a good sagat won't leave many.

i use chunners, and if i can get close i really don't have a problem, but of course getting close is a problem in and of itself

jump either leads to a tiger knee or an immediate throw which lands me all the way back across the screen

but certainly the bad shoto players are fun to bait with a charge -> immediately back up, always throwing shoryuken (ex's usually) or ultras and then you just make them regret it so much.

just fucking hate sagat players, there's only been about one that knew a combo that had more than maybe 3 hits in it who i enjoyed fighting, the rest are usually trash players just looking for some battle points for whatever reason (like they'll ever get past 1500 anyway, they'll never learn anything new)

sagat isnt weak by far.

hes an asshole, hes a hell of a turtle and a good front line fighter all at once. that dude can ultra off of anything retarded and it pisses me off lol. ex tiger uppercut-> ultra. Standing FK-> ultra, and he can do it ryu style with the uppercut FADC-> Ultra. and his ultra isnt a peace of shit like guile's. his hurts, and it hurts BAD. What makes Sagat everyone's fav to hate, is you dont need skill to master him in comparison to other fighters like viper/el fuerte (laugh all you want, but he's a beast in the right hands, look up his punch chain that ppl called an infinite.. but like weltall said. lolinfinites) and ppl like gen.

good sagats scare me more than anyone, even more than a good dictator and blanka, which both IMO have the best mind tactics in that game (for me at least). Cammy is easy to play because ppl who arent used to ducking low are easy to fuck with. going against skilled ppl who know how to counter/punish, crossover and focus with good timing and execution make winning with her tough. even on ppl like sagat.

i hate sagat as much as anyone, but i wouldnt go as far as calling him weak. :D

Nah sagat is weak. I know he's top tier and has a shit ton of defense and hard hitting attacks, but he really doesn't have much to offer as far as different play styles. Either you have a pure shoto sagat who spams tiger shot and tiger knee/uppercut/ultra when u jump at him. Then you have the ones that try and jump a lot and use that long arching kick out of jump, elbow drop, to open up combos. Lastly you have your pure turtle sagat who usually opens up combo with focus attack or just throws. Hes too easy with quick players. I beat 2000-10000 GP sagats often, usually only losing when i misinput since i use ps3 controller. He's too slow close range. Thats why i love cammy against him. Her moves are so fast and have a lot of priority. You just can't mess up because of her low defense.

i obviously hate sagat, and blankas usually give me a lot of trouble too for some reason, some akumas do but other than that i don't really care who people pick

I have mained sagat and ken/ryu ever since I can remember and I can say that i win most of my matches with him. The only problem with him is that he is so overused that everyone has a good defense to him. Thus, I like to use ryu in sf4 when playing in tournaments. I follow the old mantra of wwdd (What Would Daigo Do) and that has won me many tournaments. Daigo is the king of all things, I hung out with him once in hawaii during a tournament. He is a great guy and alot of fun, speaks ok engrish too. I even had him autograph my custom made stick. Ume is so cool, I hope to one day be as good as him but I just dont have asian reflexes

Main Viper. Hate fighting Zangief ;o Cammy and Dhalsim seem to give me a lot trouble too, but I don't mind fighting them at all.

Other than Sagat I think I've had most trouble against Boxer players. I don't really play many so I always expect a kicking motion when looking to block sweeps.

Random other troublesome characters: Fuerte, Dictator, Claw.

I actually like playing Claw characters now, they all seem to follow somewhat predictable patterns and don't really adapt at all like a lot of other characters usually do.

Maining Chunners I really like playing (most) shoto characters, can almost always get my ultimate off against them unless they've played against chunners before which apparently isn't that often because i don't see chun players at all really =/

lol Sagat, i beat a decent 1 yesterday during championship mode. He tried to turtle and forgot to block low. Needless to say he was on his back 90% of the time. Anybody that uses some sort of Uppercut/shoryuken they spam and you can basicly win a match just blocking/ focus attack/ special move. Everyone uses it, only a few of us fall for it.
Cant stop playing this game, i havent finished resident evil5 because of it. /fummmeeeeee

Yea I had a Ken player do this to me when I first tried online play. Literally the only thing he would do is "Get me in a corner > Full Focus Attack > Fierce Shouryuken > repeat." I'd like to think things would go different but I would probably get owned my that tactic still. -.-

lol i love it when people just randomly use Focus, when ur half a screen away. Then later in the match u actualy catch them with yours. Always feels good =D
