What about the TEs exactly is bad? I assume the circuitry?

Cause if I built another one the box/stick/buttons would be similar quality >.>

Wasn't planning to, just saying, the staff video reviews on that site for the sticks were positive. Including the 8 part one where they disassembled it, and explored options for modding/alternate parts. Caveats, obviously, if you want to install Happ parts or something.

So that would be something other than people going into a store clueless.

Though, unless the circuitboards themselves are flakey (which they may well be), I don't see what the issue is.

Most of the best MvC2 players use bat top because that's how they started out and have perfected the techniques with it. Weltall, where do you play? I fucking love TvC, too bad I play at Super where most of the shit is broken half the time

Edit: Anyone go to the launch part the other night? I waited 3 hours to get in =(

We have a badass arcade in Nashville, TN. It has every fighter there is - including the almighty Street Fighter The Movie !

Capcom vs Tasu is always packed. There are some good MVC2 players, Blazblue, Tekken 6, SF4, and 3rd Strike players also. There is one guy, 300 Lb Eugene on SRK, that I swear is one of the best players around the world.

I have played against almost all of the top tier players in tourneys, Combofiend, Valle, Demon Hyo, Sanford a bunch, etc and I swear Eugene is = or > most all of them. His ass is just too broke to even afford a car lol.

I asked him the other day how the hell he got so good, and his reply was, "When you can only bring $3 to an arcade for 10 hours, you learn not to lose."

Damn, I've been to Nashville once and i wished I wouldv'e known about that arcade. I live in so cal so i always see he socal regulars since Super/Vid94/AI are all within 5 minutes of me. Denjin is a bit further, but I may have to visit it soon since I hear there is serious TvC competition there. I'm focusing on TvC as my main game. Who do you use? I use Polymar/Morrigan, but will prob get rid of polymar for tekkaman

TGA, the top arcade in New England, got flooded like a month and a half ago. Their shit got wrecked, including their SF4 cabs, IIDX, etc. The damage was so substantial that they're closing their doors for good, and are selling off anything that still functions in an attempt to recover some of their losses. On the bright side, my roommate and I are trying to see if he has a couple functioning candy cabs still to drop in our living room.

If you see the tour videos on youtube you can see why TGA is such a loss. I never even got to go there.

    Chun/Tekkaman

Chun's infinite is the best setup in the game.

Ryu is good, but everyone uses him and is predictable.

Running around calling people at BG scrubs when you have the nerve to use the word "Cheap" when talking about SF = laff.

With your 6 million posts in this particular thread and your constant hinting at how great you are at SF the last word I would expect to see you type is cheap. If you truly are an "Arcade" warrior you would know calling others "cheap" in the arcade would likely get you bitch slapped and laughed the hell out of the joint for being a crybaby. Go read David Sirlin's "Playing to win" sometime.

You're not the only one that plays SF competitivly, frequents Shoryuken.com, and has played in Arcades alot that also posts on a Final Fantasy forum. You may fool these other amateur scrubs, but not me. I will personally look you up for some games to see your run away turtle Chunners that you think "still has it" and most likely peace you out with no problems.

and to some of the others, yes Sticks > Pads, and if someone is good on a stick it really doesn't matter because they are probably loads better than any padscrub out there at the game to begin with.

I just picked up the game tonight. I was worried after all the reports about it selling out across Japan, but the store I went to seemed to have plenty of copies.

So far I like it a whole lot. It feels like there's a lot more strategy to it, and things are easy to time properly. I was a huge fan of Third Strike, and I find this game pretty satisfying. Online play is completely smooth so far as I've seen, and it makes me wish I had voice chat because the battles are pretty exciting.

Weltall, do you have the PS3 version? I want to fight you.

I don't think anyone is saying pads are better, but "laugh at you because you don't spend 200~500$ on a stick and plastic parts manufactured by elite JP" good? Not really. The 150$ I could have spent on a stick is going to Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5.

Yea but anyone worth their salt at SF already has had a custom stick with all the fixins for a longtime now. So basically most people should just stick with pad, getting a stick won't automatically make you better than a padscrub, and not to mention it would take you a lot longer than you think to get really good with one. Sticks aren't the easiest thing to learn.

But like Well mentioned, 2 equal players vs each other a stick will always win, no exceptions. Is it worth it for you to get good with a stick? If you plan on playing this game for a long time it most definately is.

Sure, I will play whoever. Yes, I am getting it on PS3 first (I will buy it on both for some offline friends I know that only have 360).

Will you beat me if you have been regularly playing 3rd Strike for however long? Probably. Will it be easy? No, I can still hang even though I have focused on MVC2 for X many of years.

Most of us do have custom sticks for a long time. There isn't a converter for a MAS stick for Ps3 which doesn't create converter lag.

Edit - Also, for those who don't know - your HDTV will be bad for your online play. I am setting up an old TV next to my new TV to play this.

Who is the best you have ever played with tommygunnz?

BG forum posters are basically called scrubs many times when speaking about FFXI. Allakhazam is considered scrub central and those posters will be asked to return to it.

i saw a few clips of the anime CS's from IGN, but is it as bad as they say it is?

I want to get this game so bad.. The gameplay footage is ridiculously crisp, and i love that watercolor/comic book feel.
