Hmm....its all personal preference. 8-gates entire purpose is to make hydokens come out as hydoken and not shoryuken.

Everytime I use 4 way gates my Hydoken comes out as an SRK. SO IRRITATING.

I actually play Chun Li better on VEWLIX cabs so 4 way gate may be better for charge characters.

Basically similar setup I had before - all sanwa, etc.

The difference is that previously I was using a PS2 stick + PS2->PS3 adapter, and now it's a dual mod PS3 + 360 stick.

I have 3 sticks now for Ps3.... 2 Sanwa and 1 Seimitsu setup. The Seimitsu is so much different.....I don't know which set I like better yet. It is night and day though...

Getting an octagonal gate, I can't stand this square shit. First time seriously playing with a stick and it isn't easy. Having a lot of trouble with FDAC. Just feels like I will never get the hang of it on a stick, and it's fucking so retardedly easy on a d-pad. I just don't see why people do the switch if they are infinitely times better on it, but I took it because it was a deal and I kind of want to learn.

Hearing the commentators at EVO really pissed me off when they dissed someone for using a d-pad, it's like so fucking what? If the dude is a beast, who cares? He was in the semi-finals while they were sitting on their asses talking shit.

Pad warriors are crap my friend. They always have, and always will, get talked funky to!

There weren't any pad warriors in the semis of SF4 that I am aware of...and you will NEVER see a Japanese player using a lolPad.

Pad warriors need stick to Tekken / Virtua Fighter / Soul Calibur.
