For the PS1.

Just downloaded it and it's fun playing so far. I'm only like two sections in and I'm using the Astraea form. I have no idea how to play. I mapped my 360 controller and am using that and I'm learning bit by bit the controls but...

Anyway.

Let's talk about this game. It's incredibly fun arcade style sidescrolling shooter for people who dont know, a softspot of mine.

Got the idea to play this game from the Games Only You Played thread so I know at least one other person and Charismatic have played this besides me.

The only thing I can really tell you about the controls is that it's best to get comfortable with them on your own and then ask questions later.
(Or at least that worked out well for me.)

And hell... the only questions I ended up asking were which weapon combos were the most effective in certain situations, but I came up with a million different answers (except in the case of bosses)

ROM with pSX.

It took me a while just to figure out how to switch my weapons and how the different weapons work. I didnt know until about two hours of playing that I could fire both weapons simultaneously, and that each weapon has it's own button I can press. Before that I was switching them and using them.

Between my roommates and myself, there are either two or three copies of this game in my apartment. Hands down one of the best PS1 shooters.

Awesome game, definitely ranks up there with the better shmups. Good luck getting all the secrets in one run though

I'm having trouble just getting past like the second level tbh. I suck hard at this game so far. I don't use any continues.

Plenty, also a handful of alternate paths. (Try killing the stage 1 mini boss differently to see one, for example).
