I suggested a Moogle Music Box. I don't know how many times I have fallen asleep with moghouse music in the backround watching my moogle twirl...




However I wish they were asking about anniversary gifts. The xp bands are nice but shit I think if you've been playing this game for 5+ years that's gotta count for a hell of allot more.
I think people playing for that long should be allowed to choose 1 special holy crap item from a list. In recognition for years of playing and paying it would be an awesome gesture if you could choose just 1 item that you know you could probably never get on your own or may never see. A 1 time only deal that is offered once your character hits that 5 year mark via a cutscene from your moogle.
You log in and your moogle is like
"holy shit master you've been playing so fucking long and still don't have a ..(insert random rare/ex item)?... looser....ok ok seriously, today is your 5 year anniversary in Vandiel and we at the MMU have decided to grant you 1 item from our special Appreciation Coffer."

then you get to choose from a list of items....kind of like the mog bonanza except all the items are rare/ex,YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO EQUIP THE ITEM and it's a 1 time only deal after 5 years of playing making it non exploitable.

Famous NPC statues would also be cool like Robel-Akbel and the Mithra guy or an FFXI Chessboard.

An artbook of all the WoTG npcs along with famous battles would be really awesome as well. Details would only help to seal the deal.

In Ultima Online we got invisible horses to ride after a few years of playing :D
other stuff too if i remember correctly, been <long time> now.

and there were capes in that game! nothing like hiding your gimp gear in a badass black cape.
