No, Neosutra is right, men are biologically inclined to loose control when in proximity of women, this is natural, and this is why women ruin the military, if they're in combat situations that is, and since we sadly have to admit that gay men are still men, this means they will also loose control in combat situations and not be able to help themselves, because they are biologically male, you see?
Ah, gotcha. So really DADT an institutionalized discrimination exist for everyone's protection.![]()
There are no fags in foxholes!
This idea is stupid anyway, they're just going to beat up anyone who comes out in the military, like they already beat eachother.
The difference is that we don't want them beating each other with their dicks.
Because just like abstinence policies, DADT makes it go all away nicely!
I mean, I see the arguments, but DADT is bad no matter how you look at it.
If you go with the "we can't control ourselves", DADT will get us killed.
If you take the opposite stance, DADT is irrelevant regardless.
I, ugh, curse those untranslatable jokes xD
I dunno, we would really need some unbiased empirical studies of actual battlefield conditions. Those americans go into war all the time, can't you guys try to find someone capable of unbiased research and find out?
There's a quote about how, in the end, you fight and die for the soldier next to you in the trenches, not the politicians and generals back home in their bunkers. (I can't remember the precise quote).
I would argue in the heat of battle, I doubt that people really going to be distracted by the butt of whoever is next to them.
That shit is not a real acronym. Stop it.
Says who? (besides you?)
I am not familiar with any supra-national language agency determining what is to be considered an acronym in advance of it becoming a part of everyday use. I am aware of several groupings who through various means work on the topic of the english language, but I would like to hear more backing of your statements.
BEWARE OF THE HELL'S FURY, CHAR
How about you present something besides insults?
I don't think I said anywhere that they should ask AS the firefights were going on, if that could somehow be assumed from my statement through anything but intent to be difficult, then I will accept criticism on unclarity.
That said, what I meant was more in regards to researchers being able to interview soldiers shortly after battle, (and preferably over longer periods of time after as well) to inquire as to what went through their minds and maybe we could get some more information about this topic.
Right, like Soldier A is really going to tell someone in an interview that he was thinking about boning Soldier B.
Straight or gay most people probably wouldn't talk about it even if it were true.
Maybe they'll tell their buddies or whatever, but I doubt they'd want to just give that info to some official or whoever the fuck would be doing this 'so-called' research.
Goddamn you are fucking retarded.
