Holy shit, rofl.
Holy shit, rofl.
If I was that kid, I'd keep the name Talula Does the Hula.
I honestly first read that and thought the full name was "Talula does the Hula, from Hawaii, 9".
I dont think it was the smartest idea for parents to name their children something along those lines, proud of german heritage or not. There ARE some boundaries, however, that being the apparent sole reason for the childrens removal from their home environment is a bit concerning. There are other ways to have this problem remedied before child services needed to intervene.
Saying that they're "proud" of their German heritage is even more ridiculous, as it's basically a crime to discuss Nazism in Germany, and not every single German supported the war when it was happening. It's doubtful the father has ever even been to Germany, is actually in touch with any relatives there, and so on, so forth.
Maybe they just really like freeways and volkswagen?
Government shouldn't have the right to take your kids away because of their names, even if you're a name them Adolf Hitler.
He wasn't even that bad.
"Rose by any other name--" ?
I am rather appalled that names mean so much to people. The real guy may have been a psychopath but it doesn't mean the name is a label or title to what someone is let alone this guy. It may not have been the best choice to name but damn what if Hitler's real name was "John Smith"? My father's friend's first name is Hittler (two t's) but I think he changed it out of fear when he was older...
Isn't the Hitler portion of this guy his middle name anyway?
But it's not a case of people being upset and irrational because the family's surname happens to be Hitler, it's because every child has been given a Nazi name or were you missing one of the daughters being called Aryan Nation? It's an intentional move on the part of the parents because they are "proud of their German heritage".
It shouldn't even matter what the child's names are. If people are dumb enough to judge someone on something they had no control over, then so be it. If they grow up hating everyone, so be it. Everyone worries about other people's shit rather than their own. Not to say the parents aren't morons but it really has no bearing on anyone else's life. People name their kids Richard all the time. Nobody says shit. People's last name are Weener. Nobody says shit.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Oh the fence about the names, but these parents are good trolls.
lol...
if they can take their kid away for being named Adolf Hitler, then they should be able to take kids away who are growing up in a home with homosexual parents/guardians.
They should become wards of the state period until the matter has been resolved. The parents have shown they have no care for their children or exercised any forethought in naming their kids what they have. All its doing is putting the children at risk for violence against them and at a social handicap.
I don't care if they're good kids or not, but being this blatantly stupid should not punish the children in any way shape or form in school or social interaction. Fuck the "german heritage" bullshit, its not an excuse for naming your children in an unreasonable fashion.
Black people and Celebrities beware, your kids are next!!!
More like child endangerment I would guess. Poor kid would be subject to an unusual amount of ass kicking for a name like that.Child neglect or something along the lines I think?
edit:
Richard and weener were never synonimous with mass genocide. You're making a huge leap there. Not to say the parents aren't morons but it really has no bearing on anyone else's life. People name their kids Richard all the time. Nobody says shit. People's last name are Weener. Nobody says shit.
Naming their kids as such is a pretty clear indicator not all is right at home. Even the most staunch nazi supporters would surely have to realize what giving those names to their kids would mean for them growing up. Beatings, treated differently in all aspects of society, etc. It's not hard to think the parents are unfit doing something like this. There are other ways to have this problem remedied before child services needed to intervene.
