It's crazy, as the deep freeze is killing you guys, it's actually been quite unseasonably warm in SoCal. I really don't recall having to use my A/C in January in LA much.

It has warmed up to -9°F where I am at. By the weekend we are supposed to see it get almost above freezing.
Either way, as soon as my work place gives me my 2weeks of vacation back for this year, I am buying a plane ticket to visit my friend in Phoenix, AZ. I love going down there and sit in a swimming pool with a beer and calling all my friends back in Iowa. It is just to much fun hearing there responses.

Please note: The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning until 1200Pm (noon) Friday, 01-16-09. Bitterly cold temperatures are expected from tonight (Weds) until Friday morning. The cold temps will combine with winds to produce wind chills from 25 below to 35 degrees below zero; the lowest recorded temps in the last 10 to 12 years in the Galesburg area. Locally, it is possible that the Wind Chills may even be lower; especially Thursday evening.

Currently 80 degrees here in Anaheim, CA. It was over 90 yesterday, felt like a hot spring day in the winter...funny thing is about 3-4 weeks ago we had temperatures dip into low 30's (even snow in some parts)

-20 with a -40 windchill. It was so cold last night, a power station in eastern Iowa exploded, leaving several towns without power. The giant blue pulse of light that was the explosion could be seen in Illinois. Fucking Iowa.
