Blau Dolch NIN/WAR @ birds?

Just did a brd+cor pt at birds on my nin, averaged 700 dmg jins. march/min/hunters/cor, spammed kabobs, senj/fudo.

Last time I merited on NIN, average was somewhere north of 700 with the occasional spike up to 1.3k. I could probably do just a tad better now with Gnadbhod's Helm, but my WS build was basically maxed at the time.

My average Jins are around 900, with occasional spikes of 1.3k. Highest I've ever gotten was 1.6k. This is with either 2 bards or a bard and corsair.

I'd love to know what the gear you people are using with these 800-900 average jins.

My jins NEVER averaged over 850 consistently. In fact on birds I'd say the safe average for my jins was always around 780-790.

I've no doubt there are some spike loljins, I've had some spike lolmetsus for 1200+ on birds and it's a 1hit WS, shit happens, but you're not averaging 900 without posting your parse results of more than 1 or 2 parties.

In fact, for posterity sake, this is the most recent parse I could find (it's like 7 months old minimum) and it's on Mamool but it still gives you a general idea. NIN don't consistently bust out Raging Rushes, it's a DPS job.

I don't care about your blade jins at mamools. I want to know if Blau/Perdu with proper merits and decent gear, can do better than katana/katana NIN @ birds

The answer is no, it's not possible. Sorry. It's fun speculation but even katana/katana NIN need a madrigal to have high 80% ACC on birds without sushi. If you start in on sushi and C- weapon there's just no point.

My ninja is not the best equipped, but it's not gimp either. I would like to know what gear and buffs people are using to get 800-900 avg jins and what melee acc% is (i.e., not just getting a bunch of e-peen ws buffs while your overall acc is 70%).

Also, who cares about spike dmg? Not sure why people bring it up. We've all done the 1200+ jin; it's not relevant.

With an acc song/roll, and 8 katana merits, my accuracy is usually 88-90% at birds. If you're willing to spam sushi (crab is cheap, like others have said), it becomes at least worth the effort to try it out and see, post the parse, and should be easy to evaluate at that point. I still think you'll be better off katana/katana.

If I get a chance sometime in the near future I could borrow a friends blau and try it out, just to get some data.
