    CT one of the best games ever created. It has it all, memorable characters, awesome fighting sys, unique story, fantastic music, etc.

    Everyone already knows about "Chrono Trigger," though. More people need to play "EarthBound," and every one of those strong points you mentioned about CT also applies to EB.

    Simple solution that will make everyone happy: play them both. Don't skimp, you won't be forgiven.

    Surprisingly few votes for Super Metroid... I'm not really a big jRPG guy but Chrono Trigger and Earthbound would definitely be my other suggestions.

    Slight derail but something I don't understand in regards to CT...

    Why is it that many people think it is not only the best "remake" game but also the best "DS" game? It is mostly just a rom being played on DS...

    Not bashing CT as I liked it, but is it possible that the hype {for DS anyway} is more of a fanboyism?

    I agree, as great as Chrono Trigger is, more people need to experience Earthbound. That game is great.

    A bit late on the response, but yes, Lufia 2 is subtitled "Rise of the Sinistrals" and takes place before Lufia. The opening gameplay of Lufia 1 is the ending gameplay of Lufia 2. Lufia 2 is also a much better game, with really fun and difficult puzzles.

    If anyone can do--without getting help online--that damn mountain puzzle where you get the fire arrows and have to kill all the plants that regrow... jesus, I'm 25 and still can't do that puzzle without cheating.

    Metroid is quick and one of the best gaming experiences in the world. Go for it then follow up with chrono trigger
