Yeah my wife hates the way he breathes when he talks. The sucking noise he makes when he talks is annoying.

This part of the speech was fucking win! Made me want to go into battle.

The speech was amazing, I figured that the poem reader afterward was either a grade school written one, or the reader was some mentally challenged person that Obama just wanted to help out. Awesome prayer afterwards though, once he got going he seemed to come back to life.

The President is still the President, until the President-elect takes the oath from Article 2. It's like that for every inauguration where for a few short minutes the outgoing President is still President with the incoming VP-elect being the VP after taking the oath.

But as we watched Bush' chopper fly into the horizon, I was halfway hoping we'd see a rocket coming flying out of nowhere, the chopper going boom, then the cameras zooming in on Obama as he puts on his sunglasses and shows a sign saying "Mission Accomplished!"

Horrible jokes aside, CNN commentators also noted that the justice messed up the swearing in. I liked the part about putting science back on the agenda again.

Seriously though, the absolute poetic justice of Dick Cheney being wheeled out of DC is the best part of all of this. The only thing I could've wished for that would be more ironic is if he was on a handtruck instead of in a wheelchair.
