watched the whole inauguration ceremony, and damn the CNN people know when to talk at the wrong times. During the Air and Simple Gifts piece they just HAD to chime in and say he was already president. Ruined it for me

Good speech, only thing that worries me is the comment on "the markets need watching"

But I did like how he's going against Pelosi in wanting to get rid of the new tax cuts. I'm willing to give him a chance, and I hope I'm proven completely wrong, but I view him as just another politician not some savior of the world like a lot of people are viewing him. I just hope he's taken to task as much as Bush was and treated the same when he screws up and I'm seeing that already he can do no wrong in a lot of peoples eyes.

Hannity called he wants his phrase back. one thing about Rush that i'll give him credit for is that he call out Hannity for that phrase. You don't want want him to succeed more then what liberals want conservatives succeed. Think for yourself instead of being a parrot for Hannity's bullshit.

That poem was god awful. She was trying way too hard not to stumble on words that it sounded like Microsoft Sam was talking.

They just glossed over it on CNN, they have to finish their champagne toast I guess.

No one has mentioned this yet but Dianne Feinstein is doing a good job as MC or whatever the official title is. I'm not a fan of her politically but she's handling all of the events very well, a much better choice than Pelosi or Reid would have been.

Frankly, I'm surprised nobody died during the entire thing. At one point, when the camera man did a stupid-fast zoom in on Obama's face, I imagined a sniper scope and then a little later, this broad screamed and I thought something happened, but it was only cuz she noticed she was on camera. -_-

Ya know, the more people say 'Hussein' the more I think the name might actually be salvageable, unlike Hitler. When I learned the history of the swastika, I always thought it was unfair that an eastern symbol of good was corrupted like that and no attempt was made to clarify that swastika =/= Nazi (or, more accurately, the swastika will only mean Nazi if we allow it to).

IIRC the symbol was flipped for the Nazi's.

no, a swastika = nazi if it is tilted 45 degrees
