The priests who have relied on CoH for 80%+ of their healing (There are some) are definitely suffering. I haven't found too much trouble at all with healing, and my mana usage is much stronger than it had been previous to the nerf without the temptation to spam CoH.

Overall, I am quite happy with the nerf, though the priest class definitely needs some help in other aspects (lolhymns, lolGHeal, lolrenew)

It's been stated by Devs that PoH and Holy Nova are both being looked at and will be changed in some form, I'd guess 3.1.

Well I took a Hiatus before the nerf, and I've still only tested it on Sarth+3 since i'm still on hiatus more or less.

But yeah, healing takes a hit, and GCD is my worst enemy now. I can still top charts, but it's harder. I'd say, ideally, Disc Priest should be the way to go now. Disc is still an amazing single-target healer, and overall asset. Holy is much less needed now, and just not as special as it used to be.

I agree CoH needed to be nerfed. Pre-nerf, I was toping healing charts by a margin of about 20% on Naxx25, Maly, OS, everything. But this does change the dynamic of the class, and I have to press a lot more buttons, and it's not terrible, but it's not great either.

Personally, I'm much more interested in speccing disc, or just going shadow at this point. I'd rather leave raid healing to Druids or Shammies IMO. But as others have said, it's not an awful, awful nerf. Priests can still hold their own.

I find myself not coming too close to topping healmeters as Disc, but I absolutely love it. The recount I have doesnt count PW:S (although I've seen some dmg meters that do, any information?) but I've a feeling I'm pretty damned effective through heavy usage of that (preventing quite a bit of damage) as well as pretty large Penance heals that, with enough spelldmg, can restore more mana than they cost, as well as a lot of other fun tools.

I don't know of any meters that track absorbtions, as such disc will always be low on meters, but that doesn't mean they're any less effective than others. Disc priest is far and away the #1 healer for Loatheb. As well disc adds additional "health" to players with their shields, which can often be a huge difference maker. A tank having an extra 6k health (my shield absorb) can be very nice when a big spike of damage is incoming (frostbolts on KT, Malygos/Sartharion breath, etc.) And my greater heal crits add an extra 4k shield, it's a very useful healing tree.

I've seen a picture of what looked like Recount with Effective Heals from Shields, perhaps it was shooped or something, idk... would be nice to have though.

I agree- and Divine Aegis is something I didn't take into consideration; a crit heal actually 'heals' for more than Holy due to the shield thats placed afterwards. Grace as well; keeping that up is a free 6% healing received by target (although there is discussion as to whether or not this stacks with Paladin's imp aura- I'm not familiar with Paladin auras / talents at all so I can't really say.)

I do believe grace does stack with the devotion aura. Devotion aura and Tree of Life aura are both on the same buff stack wheras the only buff stack that Grace interacts with is a shaman's Healing way.

I think of DA as a way to finally compete with the zomgcrit heals of paladins and HTs. my effective 13k gheal crits shield for 3.9k. Even if you do overheal, you're still on target to at least absorb 3.9k and get mana back to boot with rapture, though rapture still feels broken on some targets.

I have yet to get a glyph of PWS since I run inner fire (lolpriestpvp) dispel and flash. I may switch out dispel for PWS.

Overall, I never liked holy healing, been disc the entire way up with the exception of some rare times I was needed as shadow.

And my favorite combo I did on my paladin tank when we farmed heroic CoS for a shield... PWS > Penance > Inner focus gheal. 17k-26k healed (pending crits) + DA shields in 4 seconds. Too much fun.

I dunno about as priest, but as pally I'd continue to stack the shit out of haste probably even if it only affected gcd and not actual casting.

Whenever healing is "hard" it's simply because I don't have enough gcd's to do what I need to do in time.

Priest still has 2 additional AoE heals (Prayer of Healing: long cast time, more health healed and Holy Nova: less health healed, smaller radius, instant cast, can be spammed). However these 2 AoE heals are party only (as opposed to CoH which is raid wide) so if half of the people in the priest's party are melee dps and half are ranged, their healing capabilities are hit hard. Last 10 man naxx we 2-healed the entire thing with 2 holy priests and it helped tremendously to put one priest in party with the melee dps and tanks and one with the ranged dps. Sapphiron was the biggest issue since people get pretty spread out in that fight to avoid blizzard etc.
For the saph, we are having each group mixed with melee and range and assign the group to stand on left or right. Usually everyone should within the priest AE heals. And yet the melee will find themselves doesn't need to move to much for the blizzard >.>
