Mostly landscapes but really whatever catches my attention while I am walking around. Maybe some portraits later on.

Only $25 on CL. I purchased it from the original owner who actually bought it in Japan in 1958. Really kind elderly man who wanted to give it to a good home to someone who would take care of it and use it. I just have to restore it a little bit on the internal workings, clean the lens, and clean the shutter timer mechanisms.

He also gave me a lens hood, three colored filters, flash bracket, whole box of old flash bulbs, sekonic light meter, and an awesome old Kodak handbook on photography with a light meter wheel in it to estimate exposures without a meter.

Thank you. I find the most photo opportunities for myself either at sunrise or sunset. Unless there is a clearing storm that creates nice clouds.

Taken on Sunday, just got around to getting it off my camera. Really foggy day.

^ nice one, really enjoy scenery/landscape images.

I should carry my camera with me everywhere. I always regret not having it with me whenever I "catch" a beautiful sunset

I always have one of my cameras with me at all times now. Even if it is just a p&s. But usually I either have a TLR or my Digital.

My niece and nephew were splashing in the mud yesterday. I was trying to capture some of the splashing. It turned out tougher than anticipated to catch the water in the air, but the kids had a lot of fun in the process.

^ nice stuff, should've taken some kid portraits as well. They are always fun.

Colors didn't come out as I expected but I like the shot, with all folks around doing something. I wish I had my wide lens with me so that I could also include people who were fishing and the waves (I laughed so hard when the dumb fucks sitting in front got all wet, then same thing happened to me -_-).

Dull brown eyes that don't pop on photographs, just like her daddy . My other kid has pretty blue eyes. I need to buy a 50mm prime to shoot my kids.

Haha, kids always look good on photos no matter what. Perfectly smooth and soft skin helps alot.

Took a B&W newspaper photo. Would be muuuch better if I could actually adjust the light here, get rid of the shadow and emphasize on title more (was too lazy to find an extension cord).

Thank you. I have a few of them up on my Flickr stream, but I don't feel as comfortable throwing images of my innocent niece and nephews out to the masses of BG lol.

Your backyard disgusts me. I'd climb that mountain at least once a year to declare my manliness.

You don't need to climb it. There is a ski lift that will take you to the top. Well not exactly that one but the peak you can kinda see on the left which is almost as tall.

My friend and I plan on hiking to the top of it sometime soon to take some pics of the sunrise looking out over the valley.

Just finished reading the previously mentioned book on exposure by Bryan Peterson, I got a lot more out of it than I initially expected. Even in the day or so since reading it, I've noticed I have a lot more confidence to not shoot in a priority mode or to go against what the camera suggests is a correct exposure. Any other suggestions for essential reading?

Really looking forward to next week, finally picking up a tripod and the weather is supposed to improve a little so I might not have to deal with the misery of really thick cloud cover - I'll be able to go out and actually take some photos of sky!
