I wish I had decent Macro capabilities sometimes... sadly the lens on this D-Lux is just wide as hell at all times (it seems like anyway.) Getting the lady a 50mm 1.4 II for her Canon though, that will be nice to have around.
Nice shots up there Zoob, creepy macros....
So I picked up the 8800F after all, and to answer the question I plan on developing my own B&W and labbing my color. Develop only and then just scanning what I need to on my own suits me. Scanner is perfect for what I need. Been going through my negatives from like... 10+ years back and it bringing back memories. Here are a few old as hell shots.

Scanning some old 6x7 negs from my first B&W class at the moment... pretty funny.

Edit: Those above the B&W would have been with my old Konica FT-1. Used that thing forever, still in great shape too...

Mine looks less shiny... but that is the one.
Took some drunk photos this weekend.

What's some stuff to take photos with to test out my camera?

Tried to take some photos on campus, but once I got out there the sun went away.
Camera focuses on shit I don't want it to focus on. Haven't gotten a feel for it lol
From the con this weekend (Friday night dance)

Wish that pole wasn't there.

Maya I don't think the pole ruins the pic I like the atmosphere. Maybe try a wide angle lens get closer so the pole is off to the side slightly instead of dead center?
Some pics from this weekend as I continue to play around with macro:

I want to go to college under water toooo! I agree Maya, that pole isn't destroying the shot at all, though I can see why you would want it gone as well.
What lens are you using Zoob?

Nikon 105mm AF-S VR Micro
I really love this lens I am having a ton of fun with it.
Thanks for the feedbackLens was most definitely a problem, I've seen this moody abandoned place on the road and all I've got w/ me was my f/1.8 50mm.
I really wish I could get closer for more detail indeed, a wider lens would definitely help alot![]()
Uploading a couple hundred of pictures tomorrow...
Furry pictures? Ugh.

Been following this thread for a while, but never bothered to post since my old camera wasn't so great. However, I just got a sweet Canon Powershot SD940 IS and it is pretty amazing. Only a point and shoot, I know, but it feels like I have a DSLR.
So here are some contributions:

Took some night/star pics for the first time tonight. Was a lot harder than I had anticipated. Trying to focus was a complete crapshoot. I think these were all mostly shot at 30 seconds, varying focal lengths. Then again, I'm sure most of you have exif, so I'm not really telling you anything.

Those turned out great Tyche. I haven't done much night photography. That makes me want to play around with it.
Here is my favorite capture from a mud volleyball event I happened upon last week:

Yeah those turned out really great Tyche. I want to play around with some night photography now that I got my new tripod. I think if I want to do really long exposures for star Trails it will be on 35mm film but if I want to do 30 second exposures I can use my digital.
I'm heading out to the Shawnee National Forest this weekend to shoot the center of the milkyway galaxy, weather permitting. I'm hoping for something similar to this:

Weather wasn't good (its been raining non-stop for a fucking week) but this came out rather well. One of the times I'd definitely want a wide lens.
Left portion of the image is Asia, and right side is Europe. I'm standing at Asia.
Moar (first one is wallpaper worthy), whole street feels like a cake and I want to eat it. - hi-res stuff
