Ronald Jenkees is the man, everytime I get drunk with my nerd friends "hello tubes" gets thrown around quite a bit.

How could I forget Ronald Jenkees. I wish he'd make a new youtube video or something, he's fallen off the side of the earth.

Ronald Jenkees - messin with a guitar sound (will be on my next CD)

he seriously amazes me, i could watch all of his videos a million times and it'd never really stop amazing me in the slightest, hope he does more soon too

probably the best part is that he's just doin' his own thing

    nice find, thanks

unrelated note, anyone have any Scouse House? this one may be more of a stretch even than the chiptunes stuff (which seemed not at all as unreasonable as I'd thought that someone on these forums would even be able to identify what I was talking about)

I don't even know where to start, I remember hearing a DJ back a few years ago (John Neal/Les Pellet) with a mix that I absolutely adore but haven't really found anything since.

I think that my list + Venga's would pretty much cover all the bases in terms of essential DnB artists. After that, you start to get into more Jungle artists and get slightly off the beaten track of normal Drum and Bass.

Venga's list reminds me to download some artists I don't have that I wouldn't mind having on a playlist xD

How did I ever forget TaQ, most of his stuff is in the Beatmania games but it's more electronic than eurobeat...he did release two albums of his own though, Bounce Connected and Ongaq:Stromatolite

    TaQ ...official site

Also, this is very different from what you've asked about, but a sub-genre of the whole chiptune/synth thing has its own name -- skwee -- and is about R&B-esque, jazzy-style music. Here's an article about it: DJmag.com: Say You Gotta New Style? : Skwee

Jungle is a term used after hardcore split in 3 directions. Everything you hear today is drum and bass, just various genres of such.

You want jungle listen to some 93-94 era stuff and if you pay attention you can see where ragga and techstep split off, and even when LTJ brought more soul into it and intelligent dnb came from.

Thanks to everyone who posted artists in this thread, I've found a lot of sweet music. I usually stay lurking but no one has said Alan Braxe or Le Knight Club and it made me sad...

Sash!, ATB, DJ Tiesto, and anything off of Underground NYC type albums usually interest me. I like trance/techno to a point. Once the beat goes way too fast I end up with a headache. I like my songs to follow a certain BPM and style, but that's just me being picky.

    ATB - Ecstacy - YouTube - atb - ecstasy

BT - Flaming June - YouTube - BT - Flaming June

In response to Daquiri post. I class these as Trance, maybe Euphoria?? Whatever, it's only genre and they're pretty sweet songs to relax to.
