Anyone get their W-2 yet? Any idea how big of a tax return you'll get this year? Any plans for said tax return (TV, vacation, car, w/e)? Does anyone OWE money this year? Is there going to be another secondary payout thing in June or whenever like last year? :3

I'll owe as per usual, but I owe every year. I don't see the point in giving the government a loan each year that doesn't gain interest when I can make more per paycheck and pay out at end of year.

I worked one job that was over half my income this year over the summer and they took fat chunks out for taxes because it was a good weekly rate. But then most of the rest of my jobs were as an independent contractor, so no taxes were taken out there.

I'm hoping the two balance out, but if not I'm going to have to sic my shyster old-school jew accountant on my records and let her figure it out.

I bought a house and had a kid last year, so frankly I have no clue what I'll be getting/paying this year. One thing I do know is that I am getting $300 for a property tax credit from the state.

You'd get a 1099-G I believe, showing how much you received in unemployemnt insurance and also how much in state & federal taxes were withheld if you chose to have the state do so.

I should be getting a real peach of a refund this year.. probably over a grand. Had a job the whole year (for a change), and was filed 0 exemptions so they took extra out every single week.

how long does it usually take for your employers to send you your stuff? I got the packet explaining all the shit but not my actual forms.

I should be getting a decent chunk of money back, I think. worked at a decent place for 7 months, got fired from said place and was out of work for 5. Now, I'm getting rehired with better pay. lulz
