Ugh how many people have an aurum cuirass? My best friend forever's DRK on Remora has one and he's the only one on the godforsaken server I ever saw wearing it. Awesome piece, with some tweaks it'll allow a DRK with a 528 scythe to have a 5-hit build (WS+4 swings) in full haste gear assuming 4 hits on Guillo; to remain topical that'd be awesome if your hitrate's capped.

At the time, they had 1 guy in ls who was up for it, so I didn't even know they were doing it and then I get a /tell while I'm in castle Zvahl "2 dropped hurry up get to the mire". Luckily for me, I was /blm and made it on time.

Port bastok as well, at the HP crystal right next to the TOAU warp. Actually wasn't too bad since that short run to the warp person and the run from where u get ported to to the runic portal was probably less of a run than from Whitegate MH

Yeah I saw you pop up when I looked up my DRK friend on FFXIAH and clicked on the cuirass and clicked "List other people with this item equipped".

What's the droprate like? 20%ish?

Mmm, for us? We're 1/2. We don't hit up ZNMs regularly though. We only schedule as an event when people have T3/T4 pops to burn. Good chance my cuirass was the first on Carbuncle, or at least the first NA on the server.

But assuming you had a WAR at a merit camp:

TPing in 390 total accuracy (which would be ok gear + merits in GA).

Then he pops aggressor (+25 acc)

So the WAR is now at 415 acc, which is more that enough to cap acc on merit mobs...

Would it not be acceptable to switch sniper -> flame in that case? The lose of 5 acc would still leave you capped (until aggressor wore) and the extra STR would increase your DoT a bit.

With the advent of spellcast it would be very easy to make it fully automatic, so if you engage a merit mob with aggressor up -> use STR ring.

Oh come on guys. You all know str > all. Doesn't matter if you miss 20 times back to back. When you land that one hit you want all the str gear you can have so you can do max dmg. Hell blms should be nuking in str gear cause you know its str!

"You get a larger gain from using something other than a STR ring, maybe some extra haste e.g. a Blitz ring"
